At  the beginning of time, before the eternal clock marked its first second, there was Universe. Universe held everything in its arms. It held every moment, every memory, and every event. One day, it looked out at The Expanse and Universe thought. It thought, what if I dropped all I had, all of its was and its and would be's. All of its light, and all of its sound and all of its stars.

And so it did. Universe opened its arms and let go of time. So, everything began. It all spread out violently, In all different directions and the Universe let it. Energy coursed through everything. It was so potent that it slammed into itself. It created its own identity, and these identities had their out energy and were able to take the physical things around them and turn them into something new, and so they did.

These children of the Universe grabbed the physical matter around them and turned it into new things. They made everything, just as they were meant to. They made the infinite tangible and they created Home. When it was created it was full of nothing so they filled it. They put the stars in it, they put planets in it and the sun. Then when those things were in harmony they put small beings like them on it, ones mixed with the physical of the universe. This was humanity. Then they thought... humanity is to weak... So they took humanity and changed it. They gave individuals more, more power, more sight, more hunger. These became mythics... they were given names by the humans like Vampire, Goblin, or fairy...

They watched the mythics, and they watched the humans, but they came to a realization, they could not speak with their creations. There was no way for the physical human to witness the energy of a god, so they created angels. These angels were made out of energy with just a bit of physicality to hold it in the proper shape. Some made their angels look like children, others like men and women which large wings. Some made their angels impossible shapes that would push the humans comprehension to its limit, and one made Dragons.

The god who created dragons wanted them to live on earth. Not in heaven. They made the dragons which powerful physical bodies, but also with a soul that absorbed power the way an angels did. These servents all lived in peace until the dragons physical mind became an issue, Unlike the Angels of the other gods, dragons had their own thoughts, and desires. Those desired manifested and so they were banished from entering heaven and from harming an angel from another god.

The dragons protested and burned the world in rage. Killing more of it, and causing deep gashes in the once smoothed earth.

dawn of time, there were five distinct levels of beings.

At the top there were dieties. They were any creature that gained the power of the very universe itself. They were creators. They were destroyers, and they were omnipotent.

The second level consisted of the dieties most powerful creations. These creations controlled time and space. They controlled the weather, and some could even control the sun and the moon, but they could not create beings themselves, and their powers were limited by their physical forms.

The third was dragons. Mighty crestures who had the inate abilies of some of the most powerful of former beings. They could manipulate the world around them in seemingly impossible ways, except that their bodies were subject to aging and their abilities were determined by they foremothers.

The fourth classification was filled with lower beings. Beings that humans could easily encounter directly, such as vampires, fairies, and goblins.

Finally, the fifth classification was humans themselves, the most abundant and the weakest of the intelligent life that enhabited the realms, and while humans were aware of this, with the majority being content with their ranking in the universal order, others where not so complacent.

The dragons, by nature, desired power. They were ruled by one and one diety only, Mother Nature, and they would take orders from nothing else.

Due to this, many powerful dragons, after killing and concuring, rising to the tops of their realm and finding themselves with nothing to win, some turned their heads up to angels, and some focused down glancing at the most poweful of demons. This desire to rise led to attackes and wars between the dragons and the servents of god, whether they be fallen angels or not.

Everyone of these beasts were killed, opening spots for the ones below them. The ones they fought would not allow them to get far, except for one...
