Slow jazz played in the dimly lit bar, its notes drifting through the space. Leonor sat alone at a corner table, nursing a whiskey on the rocks. Her sharp suit stood in stark contrast to the casual, almost seedy atmosphere around her. She was a corporate lawyer, used to the sterile confines of boardrooms and courtrooms, not places like this. Tonight, she needed an escape from the pressures of her high-stakes job.

The bar was nearly empty, save for a few scattered patrons, each lost in their own world. Leni's eyes scanned the room, looking for nothing in particular, until they landed on a figure at the far end of the bar. A woman, dark-haired and enigmatic, was leaning against the counter, her posture relaxed and confident. She exuded an air of mystery that immediately drew Leni's attention.

The woman caught Leni's gaze and held it, a slow, knowing smile curling her lips. Intrigued, Leni felt a strange pull, an almost magnetic attraction. She took a sip of her whiskey, trying to shake off the feeling, but the woman's eyes never wavered.

Moments later, the mysterious woman slid off her barstool and made her way toward Leni. She moved with a predatory grace, like a panther stalking its prey. Leni's heart quickened as the woman approached.

"Mind if I join you?" the woman asked, her voice low and husky.

Leni hesitated for a fraction of a second before nodding. "Sure, have a seat."

The woman sat down across from her, the smile still playing on her lips. "What brings you here? I haven't seen you around before," she asked, her eyes flicking to the untouched whiskey in Leni's hand.

"Just needed a break from work," Leni said, trying to sound casual.

The woman's smile widened. "A break from the corporate grind, huh? I can understand that."

There was something unsettling about the way she looked at Leni, as if she could see right through the carefully constructed façade Leonor wore. It made Leni feel exposed, vulnerable.

"So, what do you do?" Leonor asked, trying to shift the focus away from herself.

"I'm... between things," the woman said cryptically. "Let's just say I go where the wind takes me."

Leonor raised an eyebrow. "That sounds... interesting."

The woman leaned in closer, her eyes locking onto Leonor with an almost hypnotic intensity. "Sometimes, it's the only way to live. No ties, no obligations. Just freedom."

Leonor felt a shiver run down her spine. There was something dangerous about her, something that both intrigued and frightened her.

After a few more drinks and exchange of stories, the woman listened with rapt attention, her gaze never leaving Leonor's face. There was something in her eyes,  a hint of something dark and dangerous lurking beneath the surface. Leni couldn't help but be drawn to it, like a moth to a flame.

When the bar began to empty out, the woman stood up and extended her hand to Leni. "Is someone waiting for you at home?" she asked softly.

Leni hesitated, then asked, "Why?"

The woman smiled, a knowing look in her eyes. "Just curious."

Leni chuckled softly. "Yes, Rocco, my dog."

The woman leaned in slightly, her voice dropping to a whisper. "Come with me?"

Leonor hesitated, part of her wanted to walk away, to return to the safety and predictability of her life. But another part, a deeper part, wanted to follow this woman into the unknown.
