Chapter 30: Mrs. And Mrs. Madrigal

Makalipas ang ilang oras ay natapos na ring ayusan at gayakan ang dalawang dalaga na sina Cielo at Maki. Agad na tinungo nila ang lokasyon kung nasaan ang venue ng party, na siyang hindi kalayuan sa kanilang mansion. Pagkarating nila sa lugar ay sinalubong agad sila ng mga taong naka suot ng iba't ibang uri ng pormal na kasuotan, na naaayun sa tema ng kasiyahan.

Sa hindi inaasahan ni Cielo ay nakita niya roon ang kaniyang kapatid na si Morgana na kasama si Gabrielle na nakatayo sa tabi nito, ngunit wala ang nobya at ang kapatid nito. Her nerves suddenly tense up. Hindi pa niya nasasabi sa kapatid ang tungkol sa sitwasyon nila ni Maki at dito pa ata talaga niya malalaman. Akmang lalapitan na niya ito nang biglang sinabihan sila ng isang organizer roon na magtungo sa stage para mag umpisa na ang event. Walang nagawa si Cielo kundi ang sumunod, tinungo nila ni Maki ang direksyon ng stage at umakyat roon.

“Our main event has finally arrived, let's all give a round of applause to our newlyweds— Mrs. and Mrs. Rivera-Madrigal!” the emcee announced through the mic, Cielo and Maki stand up with their arms linked together, as they bow their head towards the guests.

Cheers immediately erupted from the crowds.

“Ate Maki and Ate Cielo are married?” wala sa huwisyong saad ni Gabrielle na nasa tabi ni Morgana.

Morgana's head immediately whipped towards the direction of the stage upon hearing what Gabrielle had just said, her eyes immediately expanded when she saw the two woman that she loves the most at the stage, arms linking together. She became frozen on her spot.

‘t-they are m-married?’ Her eyes blink a couple times, the news is not sinking in on her mind.

Morgana doesn't know what to feel, but she is sure about one thing–she's completely heartbroken. She doesn't know if she's heartbroken because of Maki or because of her own sister not telling her about this. When it finally sink in, in her mind. She downed the glass of wine, adding to the tipsiness she was feeling awhile ago. With a broken heart, she left the venue immediately, Gabrielle following suit after her.

Cielo on the other hand, while they were on stage her eyes were fixed on her sister, she saw how the latter drank the red liquor in one go and stride out of the place. After the quick introduction of the emcee to Maki and her, they let them sat down and Cielo took this chance to excuse herself out right away, immediately following where her sister and Gabrielle is heading to. Because of her long stride, she caught up with Morgana's and Gabrielle's figure. She quickly jogged towards her sister and the other girl, approaching them.

“Morgana...” Cielo muttered.

The latter upon knowing who's calling her name, didn't turn around and keep walking instead. The older girl called the latter's name over and over again but to no avail, Morgana keeps her walk and head, straight.

“Morgana!” Cielo said, her voice raising a little higher, as she lay her hand on the younger girl's right shoulder, attempting to make the latter to face her.

Morgana feeling the older girl's hand touched her shoulder, her insides and her emotions suddenly bubbling up, she immediately wiggle her shoulder deflecting the latter's hand. Cielo didn't get the chance to react when a hard knuckle meet the side of her cheeks, her head turning the other way as she feel the impact of the punch.

Cielo's eyes widened.

She slowly turned her head towards the latter, hindi makapaniwalang tiningnan ni Cielo ang kaniyang kapatid na si Morgana. Gabrielle immediately tried to stop the latter but Morgana just wriggle herself out of Gabrielle hold in an instant.

“Did you just punched me?” Cielo asked.

Morgana didn't answer her, instead she deliver another blow again, Cielo got caught off guard once again but unlike before, she saw the incoming jab and she tried to duck her head in an attempt to avoid the punch but Morgana's knuckle still managed to graze Cielo's eyebrow nonetheless. As the older girl received another punch again, this time a little harder than before, it left a cut on the latter's brow and a red liquid run down the side of her face.
