Few Days Later

Nadia's pov

Dean and I are in Jacksonville, visiting Deanna and Jamie. Deanna's walking and talking like a toddler despite being a 1 year old.

Jamie's happy to see us as well. He's getting healthier and all smiles.

My mom's at work. Kivon's still keeping an eye out for Michael.

Dean took Deanna fishing at the pond while I helped Jamie with school work. "Gigi got me enrolled in school," Jamie said.

"That's good. You need a good education," I said. "That's true," he said.

"Have you made friends?" I asked. "I have. Pre-school is a good place to have friends. Did you make a lot of friends in Kindergarten?" he asked.

"A four friends. Two out of the four started bullying me because I freaked out on my thirteenth birthday and they found out what Gigi did for a living," I said.

"How mean. Gigi told me that it was twin sisters," he said. "However, I clawed one of the twins' faces with my succubus nails and got my butt kicked by her sister and two friends and I blew them away," I said.

"Good for you," he said. "Then I moved to Lebanon and I had more than four  friends and kept those friends, however, one of them tried to kill Gigi because I chose Dean over him," I said.

"That's good. Additions and Subtraction is easy. But spelling is hard," he said. "In the apocalyptic world, did you ever learn?" I asked.

"Not really. Michael banned any children from learning anything," he said. "Mary told me what happened to your mom," I said.

Jamie nodded. "I miss her sometimes," he said. "Did you have a picture of her?" I asked.

He nodded, showing me a locket. I opened it up and I saw a woman that looked like me with light brown hair.

"She was beautiful," I said. "She was. She always protected me until she was..," he paused.

"Do you remember her name?" I asked. "Diane," he said.

"Was she killed by Michael?" I asked. He nodded, sniffling.

I hugged him, he held me. "I'm sorry, buddy. Do you remember the last thing she said to you?" I asked.

Jamie nodded, looking at me. "Before Michael came for me and my mommy, my mom hid me in a house with a trap door. I looked up through the floorboard. I watched him kill my mom," he said.

"I'm sorry you had to see that," I said. "Then Mary and Bobby found me. They protected me," he said.

"That's good," I said. "Then you guys arrived, took us to the rift. I stayed on the bus until you found me," he said.

"Is that why you stayed on? Were you scared that Michael was gonna kill you like he did to your mommy?" I asked.

Jamie nodded. "Good thing I made sure everyone was off the bus. I got you through the rift safely. Dean and I decided to raise you as our son," I said, smiling.

"You and Dean are the best parents I could ever have," he said. I nodded, smiled.

"At least Deanna's got an older brother figure," I said. "Yeah, she's a good sister. I never had a little sister or brother," he asked, smiling.

I nodded, smiling. I heard the door opening.

"Mommy!" Deanna said, rushing to me. "Hey, sweet girl, how was fishing with your dad?" I asked, hugging her.

"It's fun, Daddy helped me reel my fish in," she said. Dean shows a picture of Deanna with her first fish.

"She caught a 10 pounder," Dean said. "Is that a bass?" I asked. "Yup," Deanna said.
