Phuwin's Pov

Ugh, I groan as I switch off my alarm and slowly rise from my bed. As I shake off the drowsiness, I suddenly remember what today holds in store – it's my second-anniversary date with Pond! He's taking me out for a special celebration after school.

I walk towards the bathroom, feeling the cool tiles under my bare feet. I grab my toothbrush and start vigorously brushing my teeth, feeling the minty freshness spreading through my mouth. After I finish up, I step into the warm embrace of the shower. I reach for my favourite scented body wash, feeling the fragrant bubbles lather and cleanse my skin, leaving me feeling refreshed and invigorated. I get out, feeling extra clean and fresh.

I spritz on a matching scent of deodorant, feeling a surge of liveliness like never before. I decide to pamper myself and spend some extra time perfecting my hair. With comb and gel in hand, I meticulously style every strand, aiming for flawlessness in every move. After putting the finishing touches, I take one last look in the mirror. "Wow, I look incredible," I exclaim as I make my way into the kitchen.

I find myself in a familiar dilemma - should I take the time to eat now or grab something on the go? After weighing my options, I opt for a quick snack on my way. I sling my backpack over my shoulder, feeling the weight of my books and supplies, and set out on the familiar path to school.

I slip out my AirPods and seamlessly connect them to my iPhone. I cue up some music and start moving to the beat as I stroll along. The crisp, cool breeze kisses my face, bringing a rosy glow to my cheeks. As the sun peeks over the horizon, I pause to marvel at the beauty of the natural world around me.

I arrived at a convenience store and decided to purchase an egg sandwich, as well as some hot chocolate for breakfast. After making my purchase, I found a nearby table and settled in to enjoy my meal. As I was savouring the food, I happened to catch sight of someone from my school, but I couldn't quite place their identity. Ignoring my thoughts, I go back to eating my breakfast. I take a sip of my hot chocolate, the warm liquid warming up my interiors.

I didn't pay much attention when I caught the boy looking at me. After finishing my meal and tossing away my trash, I glanced around, secretly hoping to find the boy still there and maybe even make a new friend. To my dismay, he had already left. I sigh as I head out and pace towards school.

As I arrived, I made my way to the engineering faculty, eager to catch a glimpse of Pond before our classes began. To my delight, I spotted him leaning nonchalantly against a tree, as though anticipating the arrival of someone. As he caught sight of me, a wide grin spread across his face. He strolled over to me, and in the next instant, he scooped me up off the ground, his strong hands securely holding me around the waist. I couldn't help but laugh as I attempted to utter a greeting but found myself too caught up in the joy of being lifted in the air.

After a while, he gently places me on the ground. Our laughter fills the air as we reflect on the amusing situation that unfolded just moments ago. As our laughter gradually subsides, we lock eyes, sharing a meaningful and lingering gaze. I lower my gaze, embarrassed by the previous situation. As he shakes his head in disapproval, he gently lifts my chin, causing my heart to flutter and that familiar, warm sensation to form in the pit of my stomach. Even after two years together, his gesture still manages to give me butterflies.

We found ourselves surrounded by a warm, affectionate crowd, who gazed at us with admiration and fondness. Some even went as far as to take pictures of us. I smile at the scene around us and suddenly I feel a pair of lips on mine and the whole crowd goes wild. My eyes widen at the sudden gesture but I give in. He kisses me slowly and compassionately, each motion showing our love for each other. Our lips moved in sync, everything was so perfect. We pulled apart from each other and shrieks of joy and pleasure were still heard from the sidelines.

As the bell rings, a wave of disappointment ripples through the crowd. Dispersing to their respective classrooms, the students scatter. "Don't forget, meet me at the car park after school and I'll drive us to our destination," Pond reminds me. I nod eagerly, and we exchange a quick wave before parting ways.

As I walked back, an eerie sensation crept over me, as if someone's eyes were fixated on my every move. Brushing off the feeling, I scolded myself for giving in to paranoia.

Was it just him being paranoid or was there actually something? Keep reading to uncover the truth.
