I was woken up by the sun that peeked out from behind the curtains. I sat on the edge of the bed. My first day. My first day at Stray Kids house. I stretched my body a bit. I grabbed my clothes and went to the bathroom. While taking a shower I realised how excited I was. I felt goosebumps all over my body out of excitement. I got to spend my whole break with the best boyband in the world.
When I got dressed, white skirt and light pink t-shirt, I went downstairs to have breakfast.
"Good morning," I greeted the members. "Good morning." They answered. The members were already eating their breakfast while having a good time teasing each other while Chan was making pancakes. "Did you sleep well?" Felix smiled. "There was a little storm at night." He said, taking another spoonful of cereal. "I slept well, I didn't even notice the storm but did I oversleep? It looks like I did."
"No," This time Bangchan replied. "We sent Lee Know to wake you up but he said it was impossible. But you woke up just in time." I looked at Lee Know smiling at me just the way he knows. "Do you want pancakes?" Channie asked. "These are the last ones."
"What about you? Have you eaten?" I didn't want him to starve or something just because of me.
"Don't worry about me, I'm gonna make something."
"After breakfast we have a surprise for you. We're going out so you should pack. And don't forget the swimming suit." Hyunjin stood up and placed his plate in the dishwasher. "Where are we going?" I ate the first bite. The pancakes were so incredible, so fluffy and so sweet. Chan should be the next 5 star Michelin and I'm not even kidding.
"It's a surprise. We can't tell you but you are gonna like it. Don't worry." Changbin smiled and also stood up.
After breakfast I packed and we left. Even though I didn't know where we're headed, we had an amazing time travelling. I.n was in charge of our playlist. And as expected there were stray kids' songs. Their live singing made me fall in love with them even more. I'm sure that was the sound of heaven. Guys sang every line while dancing choreo with hands. After an hour of car karaoke we finally arrived at our destination.
It was a beautiful beach with an even more mesmerising sea. The wind was refreshing with a salty smell. The sand was warm by touch but there was cold sand hiding underneath. In the distance there was a little wooden gazebo with a small bridge surrounded by rocks and decorated by beautiful flowers and leafs. The sky was covered by white clouds, flying birds and sun.
"FREEDOM!" Felix and I.n screamed in excitement and ran towards the beach the moment we parked. I couldn't help but smile at them while helping Hyunjin with bags with food and blankets. I was so excited. I love this surprise. This day is going to be awesome.
"Who's up for a volleyball game?" Han asked, picking up the ball. As we all agreed we separated into teams. My team, consisting of Bang Chan, Lee Know, Hyunjin, Seungmin, and me, was ready to take on Felix, Han, I.N, and Changbin. Or so I thought.
Bang Chan, our captain, was already strategizing. "Alright, guys, let's focus on communication and—"
"Just hit the ball and don't let it touch the ground. Got it," Hyunjin interrupted, flipping his hair dramatically. I couldn't help but laugh. Classic Hyunjin.
Lee Know was stretching nearby, looking deceptively calm. That man was a beast when it came to sports. He won't let us loose. With Lee Know on our team we've already won. Seungmin was inspecting the volleyball like it held the secrets to the universe, while I tried to remember the basic rules of the game.
"Ready to lose?" Felix called out from the other side of the net, his freckles shining in the sun as he grinned widely. Han was doing some ridiculous dance moves to psych us out, and I.N was jumping up and down, clearly excited. Changbin was flexing his muscles for no apparent reason.
