Obviously, Elwia's calm and not-worrying state didn't last long. It was 7th of December, a simple Tuesday, and she and Malfoy were both quietly sitting beside each other in the empty classroom, with Flitwick scolding and yelling at them. Their exams from last week were on the table.
"I can't believe you would condone letting someone cheat off of you, Mr. Malfoy. And you, Ms. Delacour, I thought better of you. 20 points from Slytherin." Flitwick said with a stern voice.
"Sorry..." Elwia mumbled.
"As this is the last class of the day, you will both spend your detentions here, thinking about what you have done wrong. I will lock the doors and don't even think about using Alohomora. I'll be back in an hour." Flitwick informed the two as he left the classroom.
Elwia and Malfoy sat in silence for a few minutes, both of them actually thinking about what they had done.
"If you had just studied for the exam, this wouldn't have happened. I had plans after class, you know." Malfoy said with a bored voice.
"Fair, but you also could've just let me fail, but instead, you decided to act like a hero and think of the greater good." Elwia shrugged her shoulders and stood up from her seat.
"Where are you going?" Malfoy asked, standing up as well.
"I'm not going to sit next to you for a whole hour." Elwia laughed and sat further away from the blonde boy.
Malfoy didn't answer. Instead, he started whistling the same annoying tune that he had whistled three months ago during History of Magic.
"Can you stop?" Elwia sighed, burying her face in her hands.
"Nope." Malfoy smiled and continued whistling.
"Please?" Elwia begged.
Elwia was surprised to hear that Malfoy actually stopped whistling. She thought that he was only going to make her suffer even more.
It turned out that the silence was even more excruciating. The only thing Elwia could hear was Malfoy breathing and him tapping his fingers against the table.
"Should we do something?" Elwia asked, breaking the silence.
"Wow, you actually stayed silent for 5 minutes. I was wondering when you would break." Malfoy said with a slight sneer.
"Whatever, can we play two truths?" Elwia rolled her eyes.
"Is this another stupid game that Pansy came up with?" He scoffed.
"Yeah. I ask you two questions, and you have to choose which one you answer. You can do the same to me." Elwia said with a bored voice.
"Okay, sure. I don't think there's anything better we could do anyway." Malfoy muttered.
"Do you have feelings for Flora, or, um, what is your biggest fear?" Elwia asked. She didn't know why she wanted to know the answer to the first question, but there was definitely a reason for it.
"Seriously, Delacour? Why do you care about either of those?" Malfoy asked Elwia, scoffing at her.
"You have to answer; you agreed." Elwia answered with a playful smile.
"Yeah, Flora is nice. She's not annoying like you are." Malfoy said while running his fingers through his blonde hair.
Oh.
"She said you were a good shag, do you agree?" Elwia asked with frowned brows.
"I think it's my turn now, Delacour. What is your body count, or do you have feelings for anyone?" Malfoy smirked.
