CHAPTER 9

I left the room before Lando could wake up. I didn't sleep at all, I checked on him all night as promised, and by the time I left for work, the fever went down luckily.

It's 10 in the morning now, and I'm 3 coffees in, about to have my fourth, when Cisca, Landos younger sister comes in. She is so nice, we get along very well, she is one year younger , and every time she comes to see her brothers' races, we always have a good time, she became one of my best friends "Good Morning to my favorite coffee maker in the world" I laugh and go to her side of the counter and hug her tight"I missed you Siskin, soooo much" she returns the hug "Me too babe, no more phone calls this week-end" we laugh, and I get back to my place. "Is all your family here?" I ask while making her coffee "No, it's just me, dad and a couple of Landos friends" we chat for a while to catch until the curly boy comes in, followed by his dad Adam, who I also go hug tight. In all those years I came close with some of the families of my friends, they are often in the paddock, and is always nice to have them around. I wonder when Charleses' mom will come back actually. "Good morning" he looks way better now, I'm glad he is not sick anymore. He winks at me and I turn red. We all chat a bit, until Jon comes to the counter too "Good morning everybody" we greet him back and I start making his coffee "So Lando, I see you feel way better this morning" he looks at the both of us sly "Yeah, I'm as healthy as I can be" says Lando "I wonder how that could happen, knowing that you don't even know how to take a medicine on your own" says Jon "What? I can take care of myself" Cisca laughs "Not when you are sick", "Yeah, you just lay in bed looking at the sealing, waiting for your death" they all laugh, and I try to act like I don't exist "Well, he had some help this time" says Jon looking at me "Yeah, Jon sent me the best nurse the planet has ever seen" says Lando winking at me. I wish there was a hole behind the counter, 'cause the way Adam is looking at me I would have thrown myself in there. "Is that so?" Asks Cisca sly "I didn't do anything" "You made Lando take medicine, that's enough for a statue believe me" says Jon, Zak enters the hospitality "Lando, in the garage, duty calls, you can hit on Arya later" and leaves. I desperately need the hole. They all chuckle at Zaks' words. Adam and Jon leave right away and Lando turns to me still smiling from the laugh before "Thank you for last night Tinker bell" pecks my nose with his finger, winks at me one last time, and leaves. Imma start digging, people.

"Tinker bell?" Says Cisca raising her brows "Is just a nickname" she scuffs "Just a nickname? You don't know my brother. His flirting skills are poor, 'cause he always hits to get a one night stand, so he just calls the girls 'baby' or 'hot stuff' or stupid stuff like that, he doesn't even need to flirt, girls just fall on his feet just by him breathing. But this nickname, sounds like there is a meaning behind. What is it?" She says "Hum, he saw my Tinker bell pj once" I say shy "And what happened last night? Did you only give him medicine?" I sigh "I also gave him chicken soup" I shrug "Ary, do you have a crush on my brother?" I take a deep breath, how do I explain to her that this whole thing, turned into more than just a crush, I actually like him, a lot. "Uhm, well I-I-" I sigh "I don't know Cis, I have some feelings for him, but he confuses me. Lately we started getting closer, and some thing that he says, and does, I don't know. And besides, he has a girlfriend" she frowns "Who? Violet?" "Yeah" "They broke up" I stop any movement. WHAT DID SHE JUST SAY "They what? When?" She chuckles "Early this week. They got into a big fight. I was also there with my boyfriend. We stayed at home and they went out for coffee. They came back and Lando was furious for something she did. They got into a big fight and he broke up with her. Thank god, I couldn't stand her anymore" I forgot how to breathe. He broke up with her after what happened at the Cafe. "Wait, he didn't tell you?" I shake my head "No, he didn't say a word about it" she shrugs, and then her faces changes "I have an idea" and she just departs. That was weird, but my god, Lando broke up with the blonde freak. Does this mean he is back in his fuckboy era? Or he just wants time by himself? Would he start another relationship? Too many questions I don't have an answer. Time will tell.
