Elijah was born into a world of chaos and pain. His parents were addicts, and their toxic relationship left him with emotional scars that still linger to this day. As a child, Elijah was forced to fend for himself, often going without food or shelter while his parents fought over their latest fix.
The sound of shattering glass, screaming and sirens became the soundtrack of his childhood.

As he grew older, Elijah found solance in music, becoming the lead singer of a rock band. The stage became his escape, allowing him to temporarily leave the trauma behind. But even on stage, Elijah struggled with addiction to Alcohol he was always drawn back to the familiarity of a drink.

Elijah's tumultous past has left him with trust issues, making it difficult for him to form lasting connections with others. Until one day he stumbled upon Rosalina at a coffee shop, something about her seemed different. Maybe it was her unwavering kindness or her infecitous laughter, but Elijah felt a spark of hope ignite within him.

Rosalina was born into a dysfuntional family, where her parents fought frequently. She learned to adapt quickly, developing a tough exterior to cope with the constant turmoil. As she grew older, she became withdrawn and isolated, struggling to form close relationships.  Rosalina's toxic ex boyfriend Alex, further complicated matters, suffocating her emotionally. Fearing for her mental health and well-being, she made the drastic decision to leave New York behind, moving to Colorado to start new.

Rosalina sought refuge with her friend Sophia who welcomed her into her home without question. To support herself financially, Rosalina landed a job at a local coffee shop. Her quirky sense of humor often lightened the mood around her, but deep down, she remained guarded to to her past experiences.

Because of her turbulent past, Rosalina grew accustomed to shielding herself from others. It was easier that way - safer. Until he walked into the coffee shop, something about him commanded her attention. Maybe it was the way his piercing gaze seemed to see right through her or the sharp angles of his face, which hinted a deeper level of complexity. Whatever it was, she felt an inexplicable flutter in her chest, as if her heart was awakening from a long slumber. Elijah's rough around the edges exterior only added to the enigma, drawing her in with an unsettling curiosity. For the first time in ages, she felt like there was a possibility of connection beyond mere aquaintances.
