Main characters
Adin Ruiz (A.K.A. The Phantom Thief): A Spanish-American teenage boy who is smart, amazing and a brilliant magician. He is also the younger brother of Jarod Ruiz. His alter-ego is "The Phantom Thief". He is known to use magic tricks to steal valuable items and send a warning note to the Bishopville police department before a heist. To everyone, he is the handsome thief and is also known as the "Modern-Day Arsène Lupin of the U.S.A." (even though he returns items to the owners). But to the police, he is a terrible, horrible, no good bad guy when he's actually trying to stop Blaze Squad from stealing Green Lopalandite and to avenge his father's death. His mission is to also destroy the Green Lopalandite diamond to make sure no villain or evil organization gets it. His personality as Adin is that he's modest, persistent and that he's independent. But his personality as The Phantom Thief is that he's resourceful, rational and that he's determined. He has a strong resemblance to Frank Rogers, but he has wavy black hair. He can also impersonate the police officers of Bishopville, Owen Hasby and even Rex Nesmith. He is the main protagonist and the title character of the series. The Phantom Thief is also known as "Phantom Thief 1514". In season 1, Adin is 16 years old. In season 2, Adin is now 20 years old. He is younger by a month apart. Also, in season 2, Adin and Gwen get married. His abilities is that he has got a hang glider as he prepares to go flying off as well as smoke bombs to disappear. He is also great at making illusions. Adin is scared of any dogs that he comes in contact with.
Jarod Ruiz: He is an older brother of Adin. He helps out with his younger brother of him being Phantom Thief, with his missions that is assisted by Zeke Dennell. His personality is that he's fair-minded, faithful, dynamic and practical.
Gwen Hasby (A.K.A. "Gwen Ruiz" in season 2): A brown-haired girl who is Adin Ruiz's love interest. She hates Ladrón Fantasma. She is the daughter of Owen Hasby. She is sweet, charming and beautiful. Her birthday is on December 10th. It is revealed in an episode: "Green Birthday". In season 1, she is 16 years old, then in the episode "Green Birthday", she is 17 years old. But then, in "Agent X vs. Ladrón Fantasma 2", Adin reveals his identity as Ladrón Fantasma. Then, in season 2, she is 23 years old and that she and Adin gets married. Her interests are arts and crafts, reading, baking and sewing.
Sean Nesmith: A famous detective. As the son of the Bishopville police department's chief, he had many chances to capture Ladrón Fantasma. He believes that Adin is Ladrón Fantasma, but he needs to try to get evidence. But when he found out later that Adin was Ladrón Fantasma, he became his friend as he had protected him after knowing the truth about Blaze Squad and his father's death. He is 17 years old. In season 2, he is 23 years old.
Inspector Owen Hasby: The inspector of Bishopville police department and was originally in charge of Ladrón Fantasma taskforce back in the beginning of the series. He is also Gwen Hasby's father. His division is devoted to bankruptcy cases, but he spends most of his time trying to capture Ladrón Fantasma. He always yells at his officers directly and he gets angry when one of his plans goes awry. Formerly a regular police inspector, he only focuses on capturing Ladrón Fantasma. Owen is 45 years old in season 1. In season 2, he is 51 years old.
Marcus Ruiz: Adin's late father and the original Phantom Thief. He was also the world's most famous magician. Marcus was killed after impeding the Blaze Squad organization's goal for the Green Lopalandite's wish. His personality is that he's bright, broad-minded, and that he's courageous. In "Ladrón Fantasma vs. Blaze Squad", it is revealed that he's still alive.
Vaughn Quenton: He is a wizard who uses real magic. Before meeting Adin, his goal was to battle against every other wizard in the wizard realm to a duel and to prepare himself for a tournament. He then learns about Adin's secret being Ladrón Fantasma and becomes the only friend who knows his secret. His personality is that he's mean, selfish and powerful. He is a teenager in season 1. But in season 2, he is an adult.
Zeke Dennell: The Ruiz's family butler. He was also Marcus Ruiz's assistant. He also knew Marcus's alter-ego as Phantom Thief and he presumably assisted him in heists. His personality is that he's generous, enthusiastic, and that he's inventive. When he's not assisting on heists, he runs a fancy restaurant known as "The Gray Falcon". Zeke is 70 years old in season 1. In season 2, he is now 76 years old.
Supporting characters
Mrs. Ashley Butter (A.K.A. The Incredible Butter) : She is very helpful, good at math and can solve any problem with a math formula. She's a math teacher at Bishopville High School when she's Mrs. Ashley Butter. But, when she's The Incredible Butter, she fights crime using math to figure out what the bad guys are up to.
Amara Rodd: She is Gwen Hasby's best friend and her schoolmate. Her personality is that she's a fan of Phantom Thief and that she's sweet and beautiful. Amara Rodd is 17 years old in season 1. In season 2, she is 22 years old. She was forgotten by everyone else in the last few episodes of "Ladrón Fantasma" in season 1 and that she turns into a villain known as "The A".
Amanda Ruiz: She is the mother of Adin Ruiz and the wife of the deceased Marcus Ruiz. She is aware that she knows Marcus's secret life as Ladrón Fantasma and her son, Adin, discovered Marcus's secret himself. In "Enter: The Apparition Lady", it was revealed that Amanda was once a thief herself known as "The Apparition Lady". Her personality is that she's fearless, independent, and persistent. Her age is unknown. She was originally a Blaze Squad member, before she knew about what they were doing. So, she left the evil organization so that she became known as the Apparition Lady to stop them.
Rex Nesmith: He is the superintendent of Bishopville police department, Sean's father, Holly's husband and the superintendent of it. His personality is that he's generous, enthusiastic, and that he's hard-working. But when it comes to trying to capture The Phantom Thief, he is mean, strict and aggressive. His age is 47.
Orlando Powers: He is the general superintendent of Bishopville police department. His personality is that he's bossy, persistent and likes to smack talk on about officers as that he wants them to do better at their jobs.
Mark Pierce: He's the mayor of Bishopville, New Jersey. He works in Bishopville City Hall to do his business. His personality is that he's neat, self-confident, straightforward, and is optimistic. His age is unknown.
Holly Nesmith: She is Rex's wife and Sean's mother. Her personality is that she's generous, faithful, pro-active, and is independent. Her age is unknown.
Rico Brewster (A.K.A. PhantomThiefBoy94) He is a number 1 fanatic of Ladrón Fantasma as that he makes a website blog based on him known as "Ladrón Fantasma's Capers". His personality is that he's enthusiastic, thoughtful, and wants to be a magician as well.
Sir Darkness: He is a mysterious shadowy villain thief who is the arch-rival of The Phantom Thief. His personality is that he's cruel, mean and is always acting evil.
Villains/Antagonists
Blaze Squad: It's an evil organization that has dedicated themselves to hunting down the Green Lopalandite diamond in order to try to take over Bishopville, New Jersey. They're the main antagonists of the series. They use some skills to try to take over Bishopville as they go in a hiding strategic way to prevent anyone from knowing that they are an evil organization.
Samuel Richards (A.K.A. Burger Seasoning): The leader of the Blaze Squad. His identity remained unknown in the first episode where he appeared and that his face was not shown in all episodes of Ladrón Fantasma. But in the series finale, he was revealed to be Samuel Prichard and his face was shown. His age is unknown.
Nigel Rivers (A.K.A. Ginger Spice): He is the co-leader (2nd in command) of the Blaze Squad. He helps out to try to get the Green Lopalandite diamond and to make sure to use it to take over the world.
Theodore Charm (A.K.A. Poultry Seasoning): The subordinate of the boss of Blaze Squad and the closest man to the boss of Blaze Squad, Samuel Prichard. He is also Dale Winter's superior. His age is unknown.
Dale Winters (A.K.A. Ghost Seasoning): A mysterious agent of Blaze Squad and the man responsible for the original Phantom Thief's (Marcus Ruiz's) death. He is 47 years old in season 1. In season 2, he is 52 years old.
