It's eight o'clock in the morning, yet there's a roaring rumble of 4-wheelers zipping past her home. She rolls her eyes but her lips are splitting in two from the giddy grin attempting to steal her expression. She peeks out over the balcony, back and forth they go, four vehicles in total chasing each other. She shakes her head and moseys into the bathroom. She slips her sundress over her black one-piece bathing suit. Yes, one-piece because after carrying so many children, no matter how hard she works out, there's still her kangaroo mama pouch that she just can't get rid of. Not that Emma minds or anyone even notices but she feels self-conscious. Even still, this swimsuit is sexy in its own way and to be honest, she could wear a garbage bag and Emma would still mount her that night.
Maybe it's all the kids or being in labor so many times but Regina's sex drive isn't what it used to be. Thankfully, Emma is still her wild and naughty country girl and keeps the blood pumping through their sex life. Sometimes life is too busy and there are far too many daily routines to even think about sex but then one of the grandparents will take the kids and Emma reminds Regina what they used to be like all those years ago.
"Babe, you ready?"
"I'm coming. I'm coming," she hollers through their home.
She descends the stairs, breathing in the summer sun and lake breeze from the back patio door open wide. There's a hint of coconut, so she knows Emma sprayed the kids down with sunscreen already. She sweeps across the hardwood floors, straight into the kitchen to prepare herself a very tall iced coffee. Every step she takes, Faith is there nudging her hand until she pets her.
"Good morning, sleepyhead," Emma teases, wrapping her arms around her waist and kissing up her neck.
Even after all this time, her body reacts so deliciously; goosebumps scattering down her arms, her heart pumping with excitement, her stomach fluttering. She reaches behind herself, combing her fingers through tangled blonde locks and melting into her wife's embrace.
"Sleepyhead," she grumbles, "it's eight o'clock in the morning. What the hell time did you guys get up this morning?" She interrogates as she stirs the cream into the coffee over ice.
"We were all on the boat by 5:30."
"You're insane. All of you. I don't think I birthed any of those children. It's impossible because they are all you reincarnated."
Emma laughs, a deep belly one that Regina can feel against her back. "Yet somehow...those babies are all your face, copy, paste!"
Well, this is true. There is no arguing there. They decided to use the same donor, so all the children match but Regina's genes are strong because all of the children are her mini-me's. She offered to carry Emma's eggs but her wife insisted she wanted little Regina's running all around.
Regina places the lid on her travelers mug, then spins around to face her wife. She smells like the lake already and a cool wind but she doesn't mind because it makes her heart skip a beat knowing she was making memories with their babies. She drapes her arms over Emma's shoulders and slips that old ratty hat off her head.
"You have another one, right?" She innocently questions, placing the hat on her own head before she gathers her hair and ties a sloppy bun low at the back.
"Yeah, I have another one," Emma mocks, diving forward to playfully bite at her neck. Regina gasps, swaying backwards to dodge Emma's attack but then her wife is slapping her bottom as she struts away for another baseball cap to keep her hair tame for a day out on the lake. "I have the coolers packed and on the boat already."
Regina snatches up her coffee, then heads for the front door in search of her sunglasses. "Is everyone down by the boat launch?"
Emma snags another hat off the rack near the front door and slips it on backwards. "Yeah, babe. My dad, Davey, and Neal have their boats in and Killian and Ariel are using the waverunners. The Lucas's are down there as well."
