The Missing Piece

CHAPTER 3: The High School Of Elites

    "Shin, are you going now?" Mister asked as I was about to leave.

    "Yes, it's time to go," I replied.

It's the first day of school for me, I'll be attending the high school of elites now, I hope I'll have a good time and enjoy these three years at school.

    "See you soon, mister," I told him and left.

On the bus on my way to school the bus was crowded with students wearing the same uniform as mine so I assumed they all are going to the same school as me when I looked around I saw a girl that caught my interest she was reading a book with a calm nonchalant expression she was undeniably beautiful.

    "What are you looking at?" she asked me with a sharp look.

    "Nothing, I was just wondering what kind of book you're reading," I replied.

She just turned away and went back to reading her book.

  That was rude.

    "Mystery," she said suddenly.

    "Huh? What did you say?" I asked after turning back to her.

    "I said mystery, that's the genre of the book," she replied, still looking at her book.

    "Oh, I see, can I borrow it from you when you're finished?" I asked her.

    "Don't you think it's strange to ask strangers to borrow a book?" She replied.

She was rude despite her good looks.

    "Oh, sorry, never mind," I just told her and turned to look at the window next to me.

When we arrived, I got off the bus with everyone else and I saw a big gate right in front of me, so I got in.

Well, now I'm a student here, I guess.

    "Shin! Hello over here!" Called me someone when I turned I saw that it was Shiho.

    "Oh hi Shiho" I greated her

    "Hii how are you!" She asked so excitedly with a grin on her face.

    "I'm fine... Wait, you're not alone," I told her as I saw a girl with her, she was taller than Shiho, probably as tall as me, she had a ponytail and sharp eyes.

   "Oh yeah, let me introduce you, this is my friend Chio Akira and Akira he's my friend too, Shinichi Shin," Shiho introduced us both.

    "Nice to meet you," I greeted her.

    "Nice to meet you too," she greeted too.

It was obviously a bit awkward as I'm not good with new people and social interaction and it looked like she wasn't either.

    "Anyway, I think we have to go now, the entrance ceremony will start soon and I don't really want to be late," I suggested.

I don't really like the entrance ceremony like everyone else, but I think we need to go so as not to be late, just in case.

    "Yeah, your right, let's go then!" She said excitedly as always, pointing with her index finger as if she was going on a long adventure.

When we got in, the place was full of first years who were sitting and waiting, so we just sat down too, Shiho was quiet for once, and a few seconds later someone came to the podium, he was a bit taller than me, short hair, glasses and the same uniform, which means he is a student at first sight, he is probably the best student here.

    "Welcome and thank you to everyone who is here, first of all let me introduce myself, my name is Isao Sasaki and I am the president of the student council to all our first years who came to this school, you all made it in the entrance exam so we hope you all have great potential to be here, I hope you will enjoy your three years here, that's all I wanted to say thank you," said Sasaki, the president of the student council.
