𝒲𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐘 𝒯𝐎𝐎𝐊 in the sight of the Hall of Justice in front of her, along with the many reporters and journalist waiting to get a word out of her - and her mentor, Zatara - to question the girl's feelings on her first step to becoming a member of the Justice League alongside her brother and friends - though most people didn't know of her and Kid Flash's relations.
Despite all that, Wendy and Zatara had begun walking down the red carpet — and as much as she liked the color, Wendy thought it had been a bit much — with velvet ropes on either side of them. She flinched at the bright flash of a camera, passing it off by tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. She gave another look to the crowd before the doors to the Hall of Justice closed behind her, noticing how empty the place was since the League had closed down the Hall earlier today until after everyone had arrived.
As much as she appreciated being early for most events like this, it had its downsides. Like how she was alone most of the time she waited for the other protégés and their own mentors. Wendy eventually began to pace, an anxious habit she had recently picked up, as well as toying with the edges of her red leather jacket.
"Wendy, you have seemed nervous for quite a while now. Don't worry, I'm sure they will arrive soon," Zatara told her, and Wendy took a deep breath before looking out the windows. A relieved smile made its way onto her face as she saw the other four protégés walking towards them outside.
When they entered — people flooding in behind them — a smile appeared on Kid's face as he ran over to his sister. "Hey, Scarlet, how long have you been in here?"
"Too long. How come you have super speed but you're always late?" The brunette asked.
"I think the real question is how come you don't but you're always early?" Kid sassed, ruffling her hair. She pushed his hand away and fixed it as Robin walked over to her.
