you wake up on the ground by your brothers bed. of course you got kicked off but whatever. you look at the clock and its 10:43 before you panic to get ready for school because you're late there's a note on your headboard it says
"you guys don't have to go to school, I want you at the hospital after you wake up and eat breakfast I left 50 bucks on the kitchen counter get something to eat on your way here "

you sigh in relief and wake up Blake
"hey wake up dork dad wants us at the hospital after we eat and get ready alright"
"yaya whatever" he says all groggy and sleepy. you go to your dresser and get sweats with your dads old Marlins warmup and put your hair in a braid and put your glasses on. Blake gets out of bed and laughs at you "HAHAHA you have to wear your glasses you don't have contacts left" you smile and say "you're so dumb we both wear glasses so if I don't have contacts you don't have contacts" he just looks down and murmers "at least I look good in mine" you giggle and think how dumb your brother is after Blake gets ready you look and he basically wears the same thing as you. both of you head down stairs to see Easton sleeping on the couch. you and Blake look at each other and shrug, so you go and wake him up by tapping him on the shoulder he wakes up and smiles and says "hey" you look confused and just say "yea hey why are you here"
"who do you think was gonna give you a ride to the hospital" he says laughing
"well smart boy we're ready to go" you say giggling and get his arm to pull him up. he smiles knowing how weak you are and just stands up and looks into your eyes and says " you know you look beautiful in your glasses"
"ew this is making me sick lets go" Blake says with a disgusted face, you hit him in the arm and grab the money then head out to Eastons car.

* at the hospital *
you walk in with Blake and Easton and see your dad sitting in a chair on his phone, probably making more calls, you think to your self
"we shouldn't bug him he's been busy" Blake says and you agree so you go walk into another waiting room and you see a mother and her baby in there playing you smile and say "if it's not any trouble I could take care of him for you if you need to do anything" the mother smiles at you and says "oh sweetie thank you that would be lovely I need to buy groceries and visit my husband he's getting a kidney transplant and I think he deserves a good meal when he comes home so I'll be back around um well it's 11 now so maybe 2:30 is that okay?" she says nervously. you smile and say "yes that's fine what's his name?" the mother smiles and says " his name is Brandon" she kisses him goodbye after giving you her number. you sit on the ground with Brandon and start to play with him and you see Blake watching you
"what are you looking at" he smiles and says "how great my sister is" you give him a 'what do you want' look "okay Kayla wants to go out to eat I'll be back and plus Eastons here you'll be fine" you just nod at him and give him a kiss on the cheek and he leaves
"abadufala" Brandon's says and you just say "oh that's cool" and he giggles but his giggle isn't the only one in the room you turn around and see Easton smiling at you by the doorway he goes and sits by you "wow you're really good with this little guy" he says while looking at you "yea well he's not breaking my heart or making fun of me so it's fine" you say smiling at Brandon as he falls asleep in your arms. eventually he is sleeping in his stroller with a blanket on him everything's quiet in the room before Easton breaks the silence " Nick" he says fast
"yea East"
"I really need to tell you something I've" but he gets interrupted by Blake running through the door "they got news for mom" you jump up and say "will you watch Brandon, East I'll be back" Easton just smiles and nods.you and Blake walk over to see your dad with the doctor "is she okay" is she alive" "she's alive right" you and Blake ask at the same time
"okay yes she's fine better actually, yes she's alive, and we're getting a lot of Brain contact from her and she'll awake in about 5 days or a week by now" the doctor says smiling as he walks away. you and Blake look at each other and just hug for the longest time and your dad starts crying saying "thank you lord thank you" you go find Easton and he looks at you with his big green eyes and you just nod your head and he jumps up and picks you up and hugs you tightly. before you know it the mother comes back for Brandon and starts to pack thanking you and going back home. then Easton drops off you and Blake at home

* when you get home *
"ahhh she's fine she'll be fine Blake" you say looking at your brother on the couch he just smiles and says "Nick I told you" he says getting ready for bed "I just wish dad would come back home and sleep here instead of the hospital" Blake finishes "yea well he loves mom I think he wants her to see his face first when she wakes up" you say, blake just nods and you guys both fall asleep and wait for the next day to begin
