Centuries of Dawn

The rehursal

"Ahh." I said as I slid into my bed. Julie shifted over. Then she looked at me.

"I'm gunna ask you this a million times, but are you coming?" She asked.

"God Julie. Of course. Oh guess what?" I said.

"What?"

"I'm doing tap."

She just looked at me.

"What!" I asked annoyed.

She started to laugh.

"WHAT!? I CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT!" I yelled.

"I'm just thinking of you doing tap. That's all." She said.

"So thinking of me doing tap sparks amusement?" I asked.

"A girl can daydream can't she?" She asked me.

"I guess." I said.

I quickly fell asleep, Julie in my arms.

"Mornin' sunshine." I heard.

"UGHHHHHHHHHHHHH..." I moaned. "Go back to sleep it's like five."

"Uh Cam it's actually twelve." She said.

"WHAT! YOU HAVE TO GO TO DANCE!" I said sitting up in the bed. I quickly threw on any clothes I saw. I dragged Julie into the car and hauled myself in after her.

I put the key up to the button and then pushed it. We sped off to the dance school.

"Your late Julie..." Mrs. Tracey said.
Julie nodded. She got back to work.

Alaine looked at me and blushed.

"Hi Alaine." I said. She just looked at me.

"Oh. Uh, hi." She said.

"Focus." Mrs. Tracey yelled.

Alaine started to do leaps again. Julie tripped and fell.

"Are you alright?" I yelled.

"Yeah. I'm fine." She said.

"Does anything hurt?" I asked.

"Nah. I'm good." She answered.

"Oh okay." I said helping her up then walking back to my spot. Meghan gave me a snotty look. So, I gave her one.

They continued to do leaps. Julie was pretty good. I mean it's not like she wants to do it. It's not optional if you want to do competition.

"Cam you try!" Mrs. Tracey asked.

"Uh... No." I said back.

"Come on try it!" Julie and Alaine said at the same time. The giggled at each other.

"Fine. Only for Julie." I said.

Julie blushed and I leaped and spun.

"There. Happy?" I asked.

"Yeah!" They all screamed.
