Stolen Heart

"The most wanted female criminal in the city is out of the police hands again"

I hear again my famous name on radio.

"Miss Rose Cox Army has escaped from the National London Jail again and no good is coming out of this"

What do I care? I have no parents to worry for me and I'm not wasting the rest of my life in a dirty dark dungeon. 

Finally I escaped from behind those rusty metal bars. I'm back from where I belong. Out of this routine life. Free to the world. So good visiting my hometown Bradford again. Later I'll visit my best friend Cidely. She's been with me since little girls. Obviously she is not ok with me being a criminal and stuff but she is the only one who cared about me in my entire life. Now I need money and a place to stay. I'll try my best to keep me out of trouble. I found a bar at the corner of the street and got inside. There was loud music, and very drunk people acting like crazy. I am used to to this so I'm not scared of what can happen in here. I sat at a little corner behind the filthy counter waiting for an idea go pass my head. "What can I do for you Hun?" said a woman with a lot of make up on. "I don't have any money so. Nothing" I said maybe rudely and making her go away with an angry face. "I can pay you a drink" said a drunk man now getting close to me. He stopped and said: "But you've got to payback another way" he said winking at me. His disgusting breath almost killed my nose. I was going to punch him right in the face to go away but then finally an idea flew on my head. "Sure honey" I said winking back. He paid me a drink and I could see he was a rich man. "Ok now it's your turn" he said getting closer. "Ok but let's go outside" I said stopping him. We got outside and then as soon as he turned around to his car I took his packed wallet. He turned around and I slapped him enough hard that he passed out. I took his keys and his blazer. I turned on his black expensive car and drove away with no destination In the dark streets of Bradford. I almost spent all night under the low street lights but I thought it maybe the perfect time to visit Cidely.  I ditched the car in a dark abandoned hall near her house and burned the blazer I kept on for no prints left for the police to find me. I started walking with no fear behind me just the cold breeze and the dark sky.  Suddenly a minute later I felt silent footsteps following me. I ignored and continued my walk.  Those steps became closer and a little more noisy. Curiosity won me so I looked back and sawa tall black shadow not to far behind me. I never had this feeling before. Am I scared? Maybe its a cop so I started running and felt the relief that I couldn't hear the steps anymore. Finally I got into Cidely's house. I entered from the window making her let out a little shout. ''Rose you scared the hell out of me!'' she said lowering her voice because of you know, crimes and stuff. ''Hey Cid!'' I said with a big smile on my face while getting in her room. I could see how surprised she was by her hazel eyes. ''Please don't begin with the long ''you're in trouble'' speech" I said rolling my eyes. ''Ok. Then why the window? she said trying to obey me and not start the looooong speech she always does. "You know. Windows are my thing" I said laughing and running into her arms for a warm hug. She smiled and continued my action.  We spent all night talking about the good times as little kids and my life after. ''Since you're staying you need a disguise'' she said with a cheeky look. She was an actress and an expert in theatre so she could help me get changed really well.  She prepared me the stuff and we went to sleep.  I spent all night thinking about that strange shadow fallowing me.  Is it a cop? Does it know who I am? For the first time in my life I was worried of something and it felt weird.
