ELORA CASTELLAN was the ripe age of seven years-old when she felt the feeling on disappointment for the first time. though her young brain not able to comprehend the emotion going through her body, apart of her knew. the emotions flashed towards her older brother luke castellan, well step-brother at that, they shared the same mom but neither of the siblings met their dad's. luke had left, as her father did one night, the young girl couldn't believe he broke their promise to stay together. elora was angry, disappointed, and distraught. after this moment, she vowed to never trust again.'elora castellan was ten years-old, when her mom had gone crazy, always mentioning her step-brother, making sandwiches for him in hopes he'd come back. he never did, both the women knew this would happen. slowly but surely her mother became more and more helpless, often forgetting about elora for long periods of time, this occurred until her aunt crystal shipped her off the boarding school, as her mother could no longer care for the girl.
the brunette girl was now fourteen years old, and sent to yancy academy in new york city for the remaining bits of her eighth-grade year. today was her first day, and she was feeling every emotion ever as if people were pressing buttons trying to choose which one she should feel, but never deciding properly. elora watched out her dorm window as buses picked up kids who lived in the city, taxes drove by, and people watched, wishing she can soon live in the city, no a single clue how though.
the clock struck eight, the bell blaring off, you could hear it from miles away. this signified it was the first class of the day, elora was clearly thrilled, can you tell?
she grabbed her sheet with her schedule, not wanting to walk into the wrong classroom, and made her way out of the dorm room, taking a quick peek out her outfit to make sure it was perfect.
first class english, and someone already wanted to talk to her, great. it was this boy she got paired next to him, he was definitely her age, with blonde almost gingery hair, and bright blue eyes, almost like you could get lost in them. she had to admit, the boy was quite cute, but she was not in the mood to talk to people. he could tell she didn't feel like it because after attempting conversation, he moved his attention back to his friend next to him, before the teacher began her lesson.
her teacher ms williams talked for the first half of the lesson before assigning a project, but with just elora's luck, it was a group project. and just as she announced this, the nameless boy next to her spoke.
"do you want to work together with me and my friend.. i mean considering you don't know anyone i'm assuming and we are right next to you and all...." he trailed off
she studied his face, he had a hopeful expression, and the girl sighed "sure why not" before scooting her desk closer to them. "so.... what's your names?"
"i'm percy" the finally not nameless boy replied
"and i'm grover! what's your name?" his friend responded with a smile
"i'm elora."
and ever since then the three became a trio, not wanting to deal with other kids bullshit excuses at school.
