Once upon a time, very deep under the ocean was a black haired girl named Ophelia who played together with her sibling in the ocean, their laugher brighting the water. The water was her home.
People might say it's impossible to live in the water but it's true. In fact, Ophelia is a sea creature. Not just any creature, a mermaid.
Everyday was like a piece of the sun. Laughing, having fun,playing was always present.
Until...
A mistake happend. A bad mistake.

"Lily,catch me!" little Ophelia told her only sister, who rolled her eyes but with a smirk. "Just see"
"Thats no fair.." the black haired girl pouted after she got caught by the older one as the blond haired girl laughed.
"Let's go to dad, I am tired." Ophelia said and yawned making Lily yawn too as she nodded. The siblings swam to their home but something in Ophelias mind told her not too but she ignored it.
Boom!
There was a loud thud. Suddenly Lily was being grabbed by her arm making her scream and making the younger one look around.
"Lily?!" Ophelia shouted her name in worry and she was confused. Why did it happen out of the blue? And why didn't Ophelia move when she had too? Her mind screamed at her yet so loudly to move but her body refuses too.
She only watched her familys getting fleshed without a single tear coming from her eyes. She just stood still and did nothing.

Lying on the ground hurt with her eyes closed, yet peaceful. Her caudal fin was no longer a caudal fin but two mysterious tiny calfs.
She was hungry. She was hurt..
After a long time the black haired girl dragged herself out of the water, her pupilless violet eyes scanning the area around her.
She looked at her tiny, mysterious things that were stuck under her tummy shocked.
'What is..this?' Lia asked herself before going unscioussness.
Meanwhile a big ship sailed, the people in the ship laughing and cheering. "Shanks, the beer is all gone!" One if the member told the him. Shanks, who is the captain of a big crew of pirates. As they sealed, their laugher filling the ship, another crew member,also known as the vize captain, Benn Beckmann yelled "Shanks! There is something lying on the sand!" Shanks looked at the direction the black haired pointed his finger at. The redheads eyes widend.
"Everyone, get back!"
"Aye Aye, captain!"
The scared man got out of the ship as soon it stopped. He slowly stepped out and quietly walked torwards the tiny creature who he recogniced as a girl. He then slowly shaked the girl. "Hey, wake up little girl." He got no reply so he carried her to the ship where his crew members were watching the szene curiously.
"We need to take her with us!" the redhead exclaimed,his tome serious and firm. All of them nodded.
She opened her eyes and saw many people around her but stood still. The pirates and Makino looked at her worried. "Are you okay,dear?" The young woman asked but got no reply. Ophelia looked around, spotting a young boy who was being scoled by the redhead for not being polite.

It took Luffy 3 whole years to get her talk to him, but the long wait was worth it. Shanks told him to befiend her since she looked lonely in his eyes, the raven haired boy didn't want to at first but after she saved him from boys who bullied him, the young boy was amazed by her powers. She told him that she is a mermaid and the whole pirate crew and makino knew that at the point.
