In the opening scene, we see the ocean and clouds passing by, followed by a ship sailing through the ocean near a peculiar town.
In this town, we meet Lewis Wonder, a kind and incredibly polite man who is quite oversensitive about his hat and magical suitcase, which he always carries with him. He dreams of writing and drawing true beauty and aspires to create his own circus, metaphorically speaking.
