Jungkook sighed from beside him. "What he means is, they go out there to actually fight. And it's happened more than once where only one of them leave alive."

Taehyung, Jimin and Jungkook were now crossing the final street before the forest.

They'd met up outside Jungkook's house a little while earlier, Kook wanting to discuss the plan for when they had to meet Luke at the barn.

What confused Taehyung was why they were actually going to go. Couldn't they just stand him up? By the looks of it, they probably could but, chose not to.

According to Kook, Luke was a Perix wolf. And that was not good for Jimin.

There were three werewolf breeds and Perix wolves were the strongest and most vicious of the three. Quonim wolves followed suit, and were the more intelligent species. Finally, Arova wolves were at the bottom of the three. Their trait was probably as the most annoying pains in the ass.

From their miniature discussion, he realised that neither Jimin nor Jungkook mentioned Kook and Taehyung actually going into the barn with Jimin. That left a bit of concern. Especially since they had already started to venture into the woods and Taehyung was confused as to why he was coming along in the first place.

"Jungkook," he interrupted whatever he was telling Jimin, feeling the need to get some kind of clear information as to what they were about to get themselves into. "What exactly are we supposed to do?"

"Help Jimin," Jungkook's answer was in a matter-of-fact tone which didn't really give him what he was looking for.

"Yeah, but how?"

"That's what I'm trying to figure out. I was thinking maybe he could strike him before Luke even thinks of starting. Or maybe we should quickly stop by a convenience store real quick and get some meat so the smell distracts the mutt."

"Do wolves even bother about raw meat?" Jimin confusedly frowned to himself.

"You got any better ideas, shorty?"

"Fuck off. I'm about to get mauled for fuck's sake."

"Then why aren't we figuring out how to get this guy?" Taehyung's voice rose a bit this time, frustration getting the best of him.

"Um, Tae, you do know we're not gonna go inside with him, right?"

What? Jimin was about to willingly go into an abandoned barn to fight a wolf and they knew but... they weren't going to help him?

"Why does he look so confused?" Jimin whispered, as if Taehyung couldn't hear him.

"Tae, only the two who were involved in the drama go in. We have to wait outside to see what happens."

What in the actual fuck?

"But... why? We can help him. Can't we? Jimin, don't you want us to help you?"

"I do, Taehyung, but that's not how things work around here. We sort our problems out among ourselves. One on one. It's just how things have always been."

"Just because that's how it's always been that doesn't mean you have to stick with it." His confusion was beginning to morph into a bigger heap of frustration that could tip over into rage at any wrong move.
