"Glimpse of Heart"
Samuel POV
The scenery can be seen as the light slowly covers the sky along with the surroundings covered in fog where the rising sun shall become more vibrant.
I began to jog freely for about an hour now along with people in the open area located just below on the building where my condo is located when suddenly the woman in front of me suddenly stopped, In my speculation I assumed that she was in a same age as me.
Since I live in the same neighborhood as folks whom enjoying to stretch their bones, it makes sense that a lot of people work out in here as it's most likely a public park that anybody may visit at any time.
I couldn't stop at the right time which is why I run into her, she faced me when she senses my presence and we both ended up laying on the cold ground while facing each other.
I held my breath now that our faces are so close together that I believe it'll only be around 3 inches apart before our lips can finally meet.
Her stunning gaze drew my attention for a few seconds as if I was completely captured by her captivating light brown eyes that seemingly encouraging me before I understood what was happening and hurriedly stand up on top of her.
"I"m sorry," I said politely, softly bowing my head to show my apology.
"I'm sorry too, I tried to avoid the puppy so I stopped." She explained, while sitting on the ground.
I found myself glancing at the corner where is the puppy she was talking about, maybe that cute little brownish Shih Tzu was afraid because it was on behind the closest tree and hiding.
Besides, I was too preoccupied in listening to a song while running that I didn't notice that there was a puppy in front of us.
I refrain from looking into her dazzling eyes because I obtain an unexplainable feeling in my stomach; Perhaps this is what they meant by "butterflies in stomach". Yet, I can't help but to keep staring at her stunning eyes for the second time.
My playful mind made me ponder right away whether love at first sight truely exists because if that's the case, I'll be in a serious trouble by just glimpsing at her angelic face, I could say based solely on appearance she is indeed my type.
She tried to stand up after giving an explanation, but she sat down again for some reason.
"Here let me help you." I said, extended to lend my hand.
She looked at my hand first before accepting my help, "My hands are dirty." she gracefully responded whilst standing up.
"I don't mind." I uttered, noticing that she was struggling to stand up.
"Are you hurt?" I asked before checking her feet.
"I'm alrigh-" she didn't finish what she was going to say when she suddenly lost balance and because of that I quickly grabbed her by the waist to support her without a second thought.
"You don't have to lie, I can take you to the hospital." I remarked, indicating that I will take the responsibility.
She was caught off guard, glancing at my hand that holding her waist so I quickly removed it and put it to her arm Instead.
"It's not like that, I just don't want to trouble you." She stated timidly, perceiving that I misunderstood her.
I carried her until we reached the nearest bench. After she sat down, I immediately looked at my watch to see the time because I have a class to attend at my Cram School this morning at 10:00.
