vienna was the last girl to enter the villa alongside leah, they entered hand in hand. she was immediately greeted with hugs and compliments from the girls. "you guys are stunning, wow," vienna added before hugging each girl. "i'm vienna, but everyone calls me vee," vienna smiled while accepting the glass of champagne leah poured for her. "i'm serena," a girl in a neon green dress replied. "hi serena," vienna added. "i'm jana," a soft-spoken girl replied shortly after serena. she went in to hug vienna. "and you know me, you walked in with me, but i'm leah." "hi leah," she hugged leah warmly.
the girls continued to chitchat and introduce themselves before ariana, the host, entered the villa and directed the girls to the firepit. they talked for a while before the boys entered the villa, and two boys immediately caught her eye. one with blue eyes wearing a blue suit, and the other with blonde hair wearing a dark purple suit. both were looking directly back at her. she quickly looked away and smiled.
the boys sat down at the firepit, and both boys sat next to vienna. she caught herself smiling but played it off like she was smiling at something leah said. they all introduced themselves, and as rude as it was, vienna found herself zoning out during everyone's introductions until the guy in the blue suit started to speak. "rob, you look very familiar," ariana commented. "yes, hello ladies. new villa, new rob," he stated while looking directly at vienna. "and what do you think is gonna be different this time?" "well, i'm not in casa, so that's a good start. but i'm going in with the same approach — be myself, funny, sexy — hopefully someone is interested."
vienna fixed her posture and stopped breathing for a moment.
"okay everyone... your journey to finding love has begun. let's raise our glasses to an amazing summer," ariana announced. they all stood to raise their glasses when fireworks appeared above the villa.
everyone was a little scared at first, but the sight was beautiful. the islanders returned to the firepit after enjoying the fireworks; it was time to couple up.
rob and the boy in the purple suit, who was named miles, both ended up next to vienna again. "i'm rob," the boy smiled. "hi, i'm vienna." "i love that song," he replied.
"what?" vienna smiled while her eyebrows curled in confusion. "i love the song 'vienna' by billy joel," he laughed while looking down. "sorry, that was — weird," he shook his head. "no, it wasn't, don't worry. i love that song too." suddenly, ariana began to speak again, so they focused their attention on her. well, vienna did. rob couldn't help but stare at her even when ariana was talking.
"it's time to begin. and as a 'love island' usual, we're going to couple you up. but this year, things are going to be a little bit different."
everyone's adrenaline was high.
"we're going to play a game where you get to kiss each other first to see if you're compatible before you make your choice."
everyone stared at each other in shock.
a couple of kisses were shared between islander to islander, each one getting steamier each round. after kaylor, vee stood up for her turn. "kiss the islander who is your type." the brunette made her way to the fire pit. miles was pleasantly suprised when vee grabbed his arm.
rob stared her down with almost a jealous face and then looked down into his lap. vienna pulled miles in for the kiss, his hands making their way to her waist. eventually, vee pulled away and smiled at him, accidentally making direct eye contact with rob, who still looked upset for some reason.
through all the cheers of the rest of the islanders, leah whispered to rob, "why are you making that face? you've known her for like five minutes." she gave him a look. rob just took a deep breath. they sat down together, and miles whispered into vee's ear, "thank you for choosing me." she smiled at him. rob didn't even look in her direction.
suddenly it was rob's turn to go up. "kiss the islander who's piqued your interest." rob looked around for a second, pretending that he didn't already know who he wanted to pick. he then made his way to vee and grabbed her hand to lead her to the front.
he stopped for a minute and looked at miles, not breaking eye contact before reaching in to meet vee's face. suddenly his lips brushed over hers as he pulled her closer and closer. his hands landed on almost every spot of her body possible. the kiss was electric, and she felt herself become completely undone in that moment. he pulled away, which left vee eager for more. he then leaned in to whisper in her ear, "was it better than his?" he questioned in between his slick smile. only loud enough for them two to hear. vee just stared at him in response.
