From my latest collection "The Dungeon" which goes on in a similar, winding, twisting fashion.

The Dungeon

A wizard in red robes guides you into a dungeon.

All the walls are dark in this place like a labyrinth.

He leaves you at a crossroads so you don't know where you are.

He then leaves you and locks the door.

There are four ways lit by torches that barely burn.

You're not sure what to expect in this gloomy dungeon realm.

You walk six steps south

To find out.

The Empty Hallway

A hallway extends straight and black.

It looks just like the one in front of you and the one to the back.

Every stone is chiseled the same color and the same shape.

Every crevice is predicted as the stones fall in place.

Sometimes it's easy to walk a long way alone.

When nothing ever changes it's easier to have a companion.

You walk eight steps east,

Looking for more to see.

The Locked Door

A heavy wooden door has appeared but it is locked.

You try to get it open but it is for naught.

When you think to break it down you think better of it.

When you think of what might happen you decide to leave it.

There could have been something inside.

It could have been an empty room.

You walk nine steps north

Not thinking about it anymore.
