During a very cold and snowy day of winter it all so happens that you took a path, which you usually didn't take in order to arrive home safely and if possible in one piece.

Perhaps it was because the fatigue that had slowly started to settle in, draining you both mentally and physically or maybe there might have been a totally different reason for your sudden decision making.

At a somewhat slow pace you took a turn to the left before proceeding to keep on marching straight ahead, which inevitably lead you to an all so familiar playground.

The sun had already settled down a long time ago, announcing the current time of the day which was evening, this meant that you weren't expecting anyone else's presence besides your own and yet, a little further ahead on a wooden bench sat a mysterious figure, which caused you to be more than surprised to say the least.

Your formerly somewhat relaxed gaze had turned into a vigilante one, almost as soon as your presently wide open (E/C) eyes had landed on the stranger who you didn't dare to approach.

Silently, your messed up thoughts had carelessly started to run rampage all on their own and clearly didn't seem to be wanting to come to a halt any time soon, 𝐈𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐚 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥?

One problem still remained, in order to finally step out of the playground you had to inescapably pass by whatever was lurking in the shadows and yet you could always decide to turn around so you could take a detour instead but your mind was dead set.

Taking all your courage together in one go you quietly started to make your way past the stranger, having absolutely no intention to peer even once in his respective direction.

However, because you soon realized while passing by them that the streetlight somehow illuminated their face from the angle in which you stood, your curiosity got the best of you, causing your slightly closed eyes to carelessly wandered off towards them and that was when you saw it.

A look of huge loneliness and immense sadness that you had never seen on just anyone before in your years of existence, there was this empty look in his beautiful turquoise eyes which gave his unbelievably handsome face a somewhat tired air.

Reacting to your body's will only by simply ignoring your mind's wishes, you swiftly sat down next to the handsome stranger without any second thoughts.

Perhaps it was because he seemed incredibly lonely and that tugged on your heartstrings causing you to experience a longing to comfort him and yet maybe you had seen yourself reflected in those seemingly lifeless eyes which made you briskly decide to sit next to him with no particular goal in mind.

"𝐃𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐧?", the sound of his masculine voice ringing through the empty playground startled you just as much as it had captivated your wavering attention, causing you to stare into his beautiful orbs as if searching for answers to your own questions which were bubbling up in your pretty little head.

If you were to nod to the answer you wouldn't be lying to be precise, since you did happen to waltz into the playground quite often, yet it was new for you to come here directly after a tiresome day filled with nothing more and nothing less than the negative emotion called stress.

Even so you mustered your courage together in order to give him a slight nod, but perhaps due to sudden shyness you simply couldn't bring yourself to look directly into his mesmerizing orbs, instead you briskly averted your trembling gaze towards the stone ground.

"𝐖𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐬 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧, 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐝𝐨 𝐭𝐨𝐨.", you hadn't really noticed this but the corners of his thin and pale lips were now forming a slight smile of content.
