Knock knock.
"Baby, are you up? It's 8am; you have school today." Theo usually doesn't sleep this long. He always wakes up at 7am by himself. But I guess because he had a long night last night, it can't be helped.
But no one answers. I knock at his door once again. "Little angel, I hate to wake you up, but it's time for school, sweetheart." I raise my tone by a bit. But still, no one replied from inside.
My little brother is such an angel, but one thing that completely turns that statement into the opposite is when someone's entering his room without his consent. He likes to mark his things. Nobody can touch what's his.
"Please forgive your sister; I'm going to come in, okay? Or else you'll be late." With that, I gently open the door. I don't want to startle him just in case he's still asleep.
Once wide opened, there he is. Curling into a ball under his blanket. I melt at the sight as I slowly take steps towards him. I carefully sit on the edge of his bed, then softly shake what I assumed to be his shoulder hidden underneath the red blanket.
"Theo, darling, it's time to wake up."
He moved under the cover but didn't let himself out. Instead, he lets out an annoyed grunt. "We do not do that here, Theo. Come on, Horangi cooks your favourite Korean dish. Don't you want to try some and maybe show it to your friends at school?"
His response is only tightening his hold to the cover as he lets out yet another groan. Now more like a frustrated one. "Can I skip school today? I don't feel well."
I furrowed my brow at his confession. Without thinking, I quickly rip off the blanket of him, and I'm met with his glare, but his cheeks are indeed a little bit red. Worried washed over me as my hand reached over to touch his forehead. But it didn't feel warm; it feels like his usual temperature. "Let me call the doctor and let him check you all over. Can you get up or do you feel dizzy?"
He lets out yet another grunt as he closes his eyes and slowly pulls the blanket to cover him once again. "I don't know; I don't feel well."
I let out a sigh as I still worried for him, then I came to rub his head over the cover. "I will inform the school that you're sick. Take a rest; wait for the doctor." Then I look up to still his closed window. "Do you want me to open the window or keep it closed? Do you want me to stay or leave?"
"Close. Leave." He quietly mumbled. I nod at that, then give him a kiss through the blanket before I get up and go down stairs to make Rio call for the doctor and also tell him to inform the school about Theo's condition.
All Task Force 141 is currently in the basement, while Laswell is going back to base. So it left only König and Horangi in the living room.
Horangi is currently laid back on the couch after he cooks for Theo; he still has pretty much a hangover from last night, but he insists on cooking. I don't even know how he managed, but he did. And now I feel bad because it looks like Theo can't eat it.
While König was sitting in a loveseat, his eyes already set on me once I reached the last step of the stairs. I could feel his gaze following my movement as I'm walking to Rio, who is still in the kitchen doing whatever he wants to do. After I told Rio, I joined in the guys in the living room.
The food Horangi made is on the table, so I grab them and sit myself on the loveseat with König. My back against the armrest as I rest my legs on his lap, then I begin eating. His hands come to massage my legs. We always do this since I was a child.
"Oy, that's Theo's." Horangi said as he was still very much closing his eyes. Apparently, the man has a superpower to know when I'm eating his food or not.
