"Miss, dinner is almost ready." Rio calls out to me from outside my chamber. I gingerly get out of bed and go wash my face in the bathroom. Seeing as how presentable I still am after having a nap, I'll just go with it after checking myself in the mirror.
Walking to the door, I stretch my arms above my head since I'm still exhausted. Yawning once or two on my way. When I opened the door, there stood Rio with a smile on his face.
"Young master, Mr. Kilgore, and Mr. Kim are already downstairs waiting for you. The team is still in the basement, but they said they'll be joining in a moment."
I hummed in response to the information, then stepped outside and closed the door behind me, starting my walk to the kitchen. "Did Aunt have back yet?"
"She isn't. She said she'll be home tomorrow." Rio immediately answers as he takes out his tab to look at something while following behind me.
"Ma'am Laswell said if you could, the CIA requests your presence tonight until tomorrow night."
I knitted my brow as I let out yet another yawn, one hand covering my mouth. My other hand held the railing of the stairs as we descended.
"For what? I thought I already told them I take my break until next year."
"It's not about the CIA, miss. Ma'am Laswell wanted to talk to you there about what Mr. Price's team discovered regarding Makarov."
I stopped myself when I heard about the news. I slightly turned my body to face Rio; he already looked up at me. "And why not here?" Rio looked down at his tab before typing something in it, and then he graciously handed it to me to show me the contents. I groaned instinctively as I looked down at the screen.
I turned around then waved my hand off for him. As I started walking down again, I couldn't help but let out a deep sigh. "Prepare for my departure. Watch Theo for me."
"Understand, miss."

We were almost done with dinner when Price and the others finally joined us. I was the second to finish eating after König. That leaves Theo and Horangi.
I told the maid to prepare for the others while they're taking a seat around us. As time goes by, Ghost now slowly warms up to us. He would occasionally eat with me around, lifting his balaclava up his nose and placing it back as soon as he's done.
And tonight, shockingly, it's one of the time. I was beyond surprised, to say the least, because I wasn't expecting that at all, given that there are König and Horangi here.
I'm sure last night's event doesn't count because he just wants to tease me. I clearly remember he pulled his mask down right when I got up from my seat.
It seems the man caught my reaction because when I look up to meet his gaze, he's already looking at me with a smug expression clear in his eyes. I give him a glare, then quickly look away as I look back at Theo sitting beside me with König sitting on his other side.
"Baby, how do you feel now?"
He glances up at me, his mouth full of food. His cheeks resemble those of a squirrel. I almost want to pinch them if it weren't for the fact that I have to remind myself that he's eating, which I can't do if I don't want him to choke. Theo takes his sweet time chewing the food carefully, just as I taught him, before gently swallowing it.
Then he gives me his beautiful smile, "I feel much better!" I return his smile as I ruffle his hair, and he closes his eyes at my gesture. He proceeded to look back at his food and continue eating.
