"Hindi ako sasama!" I screamed. Staring at my mother who's frowning.

"At bakit naman, Victoria? You know it's your grandmother's birthday and she'd love to see her only apo. Right, hon?" She said and looked in my father's direction.

" I don't care! Dito lang ako sa Manila. Ayokong pumunta sa Probinsya. I'm living my best life here, mama. " Sagot ko sa kaniya at nagmartsa paakyat ng hagdanan.

"Isa pa, Hindi lang naman ako ang apo niya. How about Adelaide, di ba siya pupunta?" I added.

"You know your grandmother hates that child. And besides, your aunt Vicky abandoned us for that poor Herrera, do you think she's still a family after all we've done to protect her?" She said and crossed her arms.

My mother then stared at me when i took a few steps on the stairs. Her thin almond eyes are staring at me, hair was on victory rolls and she looked elegant with her green above the knee shirt waist dress that emphasizes her curves and beauty.

She looked identical to aunt Vicky, except for her cranky attitude, of course!

"Victoria, minsan lang ang birthday ng abuela mo. Why won't you spare your summer this time, please?" My dad called me, Brushing his jet black hair on a slicked back hairstyle.

I rolled my eyes and continued walking upstairs. My friends and I already planned to go on vacation. Ugh! I'm gonna miss our trip if I go with my parents this weekend.

" Can't you move it, papa? Or just tell abuela to move her birthday next week. May trip kami ng friends ko this week and I don't want to miss it. "

My father sighed and looked at my mom. Now he looks stressed after hearing me. Nasa gitna na ako ng hagdan when I looked at them. Now, my mom looks really pissed too.

"What? Victoria, na-momove ba ang birthday? If you abuela hears you, baka binato ka na ng tungkod nun. Gaano ba ka importante yang bakasyon mo at ayaw mong sumama samin ha?" My mother's eyes darted on me.

I said referring to her golden ring with a detailed vine around the huge oval diamond on her right hand.

"Victoria..." Saway sakin ni papa. His tone is commanding me to zip my mouth.

"What?" I asked and raised my brow.

"Talk properly...wag kang bastos" my father said with a very stern look.

" She asked and I replied. What's wrong, papa?"

"Maria Victoria. I'm warning you. Kausapin mo kami ng maayos. Bumaba ka ngayon din." my mom walked a bit towards the stair, signaling me to get down and talk to them.

I just continued walking the last three steps of our Mediterranean inspired staircase which is covered in gold and beautiful old style tiles. Hindi na ako tumingin sa kanila at nagpatuloy lang until the last step.

"Don't wait until you regret what I'll do, Victoria. You know  what I can do. You might regret it forever!" She warned me again.

"Hindi ako uuwi kasama kayo sa Probinsya at hinding hindi ako tatapak sa Soccoro lalo na sa La Fortuna and that's final. There's nothing you can do mama, papa. " I told them with finality and went to my room's direction. Matutulog nalang muna ako ngayon, I'll just call my friends that I'm going with them tomorrow.

"You'll see, Victoria! Nakalimutan mo na ata ang posisyon mo, I'm your mother and you're just my daughter. Sumosobra kana. I won't let you go this time. Makikita mo talaga ang hinahanap mo!" She screamed angrily habang inaalo siya ni papa.
