The castle was instantly filled with the clamor of armor and the shouts of guards as they swarmed the clearing. Frostbone's growl echoed ominously, his eyes blazing with a mixture of anger and fear as the guards raised their weapons.

"Kill the dragon!" a commanding voice shouted from the front line. I turned to see Kairos, his sword aimed directly at Frostbone, his face set in a fierce scowl.

"Kairos, please, no!" Nymara cried out, stepping forward in a desperate attempt to reason with him. "He's not going to harm us!"

But Kairos's mind was set. "Nymara, that's a beast!" he retorted sharply, his voice filled with contempt.

The king appeared, his presence commanding immediate attention. His eyes widened as he took in the scene: Frostbone, the dragon, and the chaos unfolding around him. "What is happening here?" he demanded, his voice booming through the night.

I knew we had to act quickly. I couldn't let Frostbone be attacked. "Frostbone, we need to get out of here!" I shouted, climbing onto the dragon's back. With a powerful thrust of his wings, Frostbone lifted us off the ground, and we soared into the night sky.

Nymara and Ashley stared in shock as Frostbone took flight. Their mouths hung open in disbelief as they watched me guiding the dragon through the sky. The guards below scrambled, their shouts fading as we climbed higher.

But the king wasn't about to let us escape easily. "After them!" he roared, his voice filled with determination. "We cannot let the dragon get away!"

The guards, caught off guard but still loyal to their king, began to pursue us. Nymara grabbed Ashley and my brother as she began to run to her dragon to follow.

As we flew through the night, I maneuvered Frostbone with a mix of instinct and desperation, navigating to the trees. Behind, the king and his guards pushed through the sky, their torches flickering in the distance.

"Frostbone, we need to find a place to hide!" I urged, my voice barely audible over the rush of wind. The dragon responded with a powerful beat of his wings, guiding us toward a dense thicket where we might be able to conceal ourselves.

Finally, we landed in a secluded clearing, the dense foliage providing some cover. Frostbone settled down, his breathing heavy but controlled. I glanced around, my heart racing as I heard the distant sounds of the king's pursuit.

Nymara, Ashley and Eli arrived soon after, their faces flushed with exertion. "They're coming!" Nymara said, her voice urgent. "We have to stay hidden."

The king's shouts grew closer, his frustration evident. "They must be nearby! Search the area!"

As the king and his guards closed in, we huddled close to Frostbone, who remained eerily quiet, his eyes alert. The tension in the clearing was palpable, the only sounds the distant voices of the pursuers and the soft rustling of leaves.

We huddled in the clearing, the night filled with the tension of approaching danger. The siren's wail had brought the king and his guards down upon us, and the sound of clanking armor and hurried footsteps drew nearer with each passing second. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest as the illumination of torches flooded the area.

The clearing was soon bathed in harsh, flickering light as the king and his guards emerged from the shadows. Their faces were a mix of determination and suspicion. "Search the area!" the king commanded, his voice carrying an edge of authority that cut through the night.

The guards, weapons ready, began to advance, their movements swift and purposeful. I knew that Frostbone was in grave danger, and I had to do everything I could to protect him.
