Kaden's POV

Jason didn't like the idea of us selling the Starvroce Industry off, but he signed anyway. We told him our plans of moving away. I made sure he knew and understood that he and Moria were welcome to come visit any time.

We stopped at Starvroce manor before leaving out. I watch as Starla says her last goodbye.

"Do you have everything?" I ask her

"Yeah, I can't believe this is it," she says

"You sure you wanna sell?"

"Yes, it's time for us to start fresh," she says

She truns to me. "I love you," I tell her, whipping the tears from her eyes

"I love you,"

"You ready?"

She nods, I take her up to the cemetery to her parents and grandparents' grave site to say goodbye to them. While we are there, I pay a visit to my father's grave.

"Do you think they are still fighting up there?" Starla asked, joining me

I smile. "I don't know, maybe."

"Maybe in death, they forgave each other," she says

I hugged her to me. "Let's get Asher out of this wind," I tell her

Asher sleeps peacefully in his career. He's such a happy baby. Our next stop will be mom's house. She's sitting in the den enjoying her afternoon tea as we approach.

"Let me see," she says, uncovering Ahser. "He looks just like Kaden," she tells us

"How have you been, mom?" I ask

"I'm good," she says

We take as seat on the sofa together, watching as mom holds Asher.

"When are you leaving?" she asked

"After our visit, we can't stay long." I tell her

"When will you return?" she asked

"I'll call when I can," I tell her. "Starla has sold off Starvroce Industries to Jason. The houses are going to be sold off. We're going to be moving up there. "

Mom smiles. "It'll be a good move for you."

"We won't be in the farm house, mom. we're going to be looking for a new home,"

"As you should," she says

"We'll let you know when we get settled," I tell her

"I will help perpear a house warming when time comes," she says

"I would love that," Starla says smiling she takes Asher before he starts to fuss

"Would yall stay for dinner tonight?" Mom asked as Starla gets Asher latch on to feed

"I'm afraid we can't. The sniper knows we're here." I tell mom, "If we stay in one place long,"

"I understand," She says. "At least give me a hug." she stands as I do her small arms, wrap around me. "I'm so proud of you," she tells me

We talk while Starla feeds Asher after we get loaded into the car once again. I make sure mom's gaurds are up to code, and then we head back south.

Jason's POV

They don't teach you about the pain your own children would put you through. You try to raise them to be good, honest people. That loves and supports the world we live in. But sometimes something happens. Sometimes, things go wrong. We miss up as adults, and our children get spoiled too much or not enough. They trun into selfish humans who don't care about anything else in this world but their own selfish needs.

I don't know where I went wrong with Sebastian. I had that I had treated all my children the same. But I guess I was wrong. Moria was easy, I guess, because she was my only girl. A sweetheart really always made good grades. She could do no wrong.

Sebastian, he came into this world hard-headed and strong welled. I knew he was going to be trouble. But I wasn't expecting this.

"Who's the sniper?" I ask him for the millionth time

He looks up at me through his big black eyes. From the chair he sits in. It killed me having to hurt one of my own. I look away as he spits out the blood from his mouth. Frank and Jona really did a job on him.

"Hello, father,"

I look up as the door opens. He stands there in faded jeans and a white washed shirt. His dark hair and eyes reflect my own image.

"Zachary," I say, my eyes widen. "I thought you were dead,"

"Very much alive," Zachary says

I see Sebastian smile through his bloody lips. I look between them. How did they find each other.

"Wait, you're working with Sebastian," I ask

He smiles. "You told me family should always stay together."

"Starla is family," I tell him

"She betrayed the family," Zachary says

"No, you got it wrong," I tell him

"Didn't she merry the enemy?" Zachary asked

"Yes, brother," Sebastian says

I laugh. "Sebastian fell in love with her. He couldn't have her, so he marked her as an enemy." I tell Zachary

"This was all over a school boy crush," Zachary asked

"No, she betrayed us," Sebastian says

"Starla married and when Sebastian couldn't get her to leave her husband. He truned on her. " I tell Zachary

"So you're the one that betrayed the family," Zachary says

"She married the enemy," Sebastian says

"Kaden isn't the enemy, Sebastian," I tell him. "His father was"

"His father was this Foster Gregory guy Sebastian tells me about," Zachary asked

"Yes, he was. He was killed by Starla's father,"

"Interesting," Zachary says he pulls a glock from his back pocket, aiming at Sebastian, "Should we take care of the trader now?"

"I don't think it'll be necessary," I tell him

"Mom says hi," he says, putting the gun away

"How has she been?" I ask as I work on freeing Sebastian

"She's good been doing some cooking stuff," Zachary says

"Are we good? You're not going after Starla anymore, right?" I ask

"It's all good. Tell Starla she's safe. I don't blame Sebastian she's a beautiful woman. But maybe next time, make sure the woman's into you bro" Zachary tells him

"Where you headed?" I ask him

"Back where I belong," he tells me

I nod. "Stay safe out there."

I help Sebastian to his feet, and we head home so we can heal. I would later call Starla to let her know she didn't have to worry about the sniper anymore.
