Excuse me ladies and gentlemen but, I would like for you to give me your undivided attention. What I am about to tell you, I want you to listen and I want you to listen good.
Wether or not you choose to take these very words with you is simply up to you. But, please do keep in mind that what society thinks of you, and what you think of yourself are two very different things.
It all begins and ends in your mind. What you give power truly has power over you. But, you as an individual have more power than you think you do. That head on your shoulders is a very valuable tool to you.
What influences you can only be simply perceived by you and, although it is hard to stay true to you, with all the high expectations and standards being set for you.
They can be burdens that can easily discourage you but, as long as you keep track of what makes you, you.
All the charts and graphs won't pertain to you. Nor will all the numbers and statistics brought forth to you.
That your percentile on a pie chart shouldn't matter to you and, what studies show that were researched for you.
And for all the stereotypes alike that seem to label you, causing you to have reputations you didn't even set for yourself.
Try not to let that impact you. For that is not you. You a more than a mere specimen plastered to a glass slab being peered at from up under a microscope just waiting to be pasteurized.
Dissected, objectified, and then classified? What society thinks of you, you should set aside.
You are your own person and is more than capable in making your own decisions as well as accepting your own mistakes. Instead of being categorized.
But, you are definitely in control of your own fate and shouldn't let society regulate what you rather dictate for yourself.
