1. Reincarnation

'You know, I would really like it if I was dreaming right now.' Albert thought to himself as he looked ahead of him blankly.

He was just taking a stroll through the city when he suddenly felt a bit dizy. He took a few moments to get a hold of himself, but when he managed to get his bearings, he found himself standing in the middle of a street in a mediaeval looking place.

At first he thought that he had fallen asleep and was seeing some kind of dream, but when he pinched himself and slapped himself without waking up, he finally came to the conclusion that he wasn't exactly dreaming.

"Well, fuck." Albert said as he looked around him.

He felt himself up and saw that he is still in his own clothes. He had his cash and phone, which as he realised is now useless in his hands.

"Well, double fuck." Albert said with a blank tone as he fully observed his surroundings.

He saw that the people around him were wearing mediaeval clothing as he wondered where he was.

'Can I even understand their language?' Albert thought to himself as he walked around.

Many of the people looked at him as he walked around, he can feel their gazes but he doesn't do anything about it. He comes across a vendor who was selling fruits as he saw them. He saw apples and oranges and other fruits that he knows on the stand.

"Um, excuse me. I am new here and I don't know where this is?" Albert said to the man as he hoped that he understood.

"What kind of man doesn't know the place he is going to?" The vendor said as he looked at him strangely.

'Thank God. I can understand him.' Albert thought to himself as he was relieved to learn that.

"Can you just tell me?" Albert asked the man as he hoped that he did.

The man looked at him for a few moments before he decided to tell him about the city. He asked for some more information which the man did, as he thanked the vendor before walking away.

'So, I'm in another world in a mediaeval world, while only having my phone and some other things and my clothes. Great.' Albert thought to himself as he walked.

He talked with some other locals as he learned a bit more about them. But then he learned about a Temple of Odin which caught his attention as he asked for the direction for it and got it.

'Odin. Norse huh.' Albert thought to himself as he walked in the direction.

He walked towards the place and reached the temple which is pretty big and impressive to look at. He saw two guards standing at the entrance as he walked towards it as the guards looked at him.

"Why are you here?" The guard on the left asked him.

"I am just a traveler who wants to visit the temple." Albert said to the man with a blank face.

'I guess being an introvert had merit. I am able to keep my face like this, thank God.' Albert thought to himself as he was hoping to keep a straight face.

The two guards studied him for a few moments before they looked at each other.

"Fine. You may enter." The same guard said to him as he nodded to him.

Albert walked inside the temple and looked at the large place which had many other people who were inside. The people around him looked at him when he walked inside as he hoped that they wouldn't throw him out.

'Let's just hope that they would be willing to teach me something.' Albert thought to himself as he walked inside.

He talked with a few people there and asked them about the place and his desire to learn. The people were skeptical about it and had told him that he needed to be capable and intelligent enough for learning from them.

He asked them to give him an opportunity and he also told them that he only knew how to speak. The people were a bit skeptical and asked him about where he had come from. He had told them that he had come from a village and that he wanted to learn.

"Alright, we will give you a week. If you can learn to read in that time and also learn and complete a simple test." The man in front of him as he nodded to him.

'I just hope that I will be able to complete it in time.' Albert thought to himself as he gulped a bit.
