Falling it a pit of black,
I forgot what the sun looks like.
I forgot how bright it get's,
What color looks like.
I forgot how it felt against my skin,
As chills run up my body slivering over my every inch.
I forgot what time was,
for I am encased in endless night.
I forgot what voices were,
For I forgot to speak.
I forgot to call your name,
As I was swallowed into the black.
I forgot to grab the ledge,
Before it was out of reach.
I forgot to grab your hand,
When you reached down to save me.
I forgot.
I failed.
I'm sorry.
As it all goes black,
I remember.
I did try,
But I was to far gone.
