One evening, after a particularly intense debate club competition, Xinyi decided to take a walk in the academy's renowned moonlit garden to clear her mind. The garden was a serene oasis, filled with fragrant blossoms and softly glowing lanterns.

As she wandered through the garden, she was surprised to find Yue sitting on a bench, lost in thought. For a moment, Xinyi considered walking away, but curiosity got the better of her.

"Mind if I join you?" Xinyi asked, her voice hesitant.

Yue looked up, a hint of surprise in her eyes, then smiled. "Sure. It's a beautiful night, isn't it?"

Xinyi nodded, taking a seat beside Yue. They sat in silence for a while, the only sound being the gentle rustling of leaves and the distant hum of the city.

"You know," Yue said softly, breaking the silence, "I never hated you, Xinyi. In fact, I admire you. You've always pushed me to do better."

Xinyi was taken aback. She had always seen Yue as a rival, never considering that Yue might feel the same way about her. "I feel the same way," she admitted. "Our rivalry has made me stronger."

They talked for hours that night, sharing their dreams, fears, and the pressures they faced from their families. As the moon rose higher in the sky, they realized they had more in common than they had ever thought possible.
