Sungjae stared in a drama with fellow sunbae Chorong of Apink called Plus Nine Boys, a romcom about coming of age and learning to accept oneself and that the new phase of life doesn't have to be scary.
Sungjae plays as nineteen years old Kang Mingu, a popular high school student who dreams of going to college for a judo scholarship. Due to an embarrassming accident that affected his bowel, his dreams were crush, but then he falls in love with mysterious girl played by Chorong. Featuring alongside him was nineteen year old trained Seunghee. A young lady with an impressive voice.
