You Know I Can't Make It On My Own

-Counter Balance-

You walk in the door, jumping and carrying the bag

You and Robby went to get pizza! in hope of watching a movie with mom, 

Robby chuckles as you throw the bag on the counter, 

You saw mom walk out of her room, and you squealed and flexed your fingers back and fourth 

"Hey mom" Robby smiled, as he saw his mom 

"Hey!" She smiled, as she walked around the house, like she was getting ready for something 

"Robby! I wanna go color!, Lets go!" You pulled on him and he just pulled you into a hug to get you to stay still 

Robby chuckles, as you lean on him, flicking your nose and looking off 

"Hey uh, I went to Von's and got those pizzas that you like, do you wanna make dinner and watch a movie?" Robby asks while rubbing your back 

"Oh uh, That's so sweet honey, uhm I actually have to run a couple of errands, but uh what if we do that tomorrow night Kay?" She hums and smile patting his back and walking past him 

"Momma's always gone Robby! Gone!" You shout stiming you hands, hitting them together 

"shhhhhh Y/n hush, don't say that" Robby whispers to you, and you huff

"Yeah sure.......if your sober?" Robby says to mom, and she looks  back at him 

"Hey!- o-ok you caught me, I am going out, but it is Dine LA week..." She mutters and keeping looking in the mirror 

"You meeting that guy from the other night?" Robby asks, as you hum and make sounds, flicking your fingers

"Oh god that nerd? He was all bark and no stick" She says and Robby sighs 

"NO STICK NONE" You shout, huffing, covering your ears getting upset 

"Y/n!" You mom shouts, Robby covers your ears for you and lets you lean on him 

"Plus sorry I know that's, like, super gross, but you don't realize how hard it is to meet a good man, I mean just look at your father, that's what were working with here........Oh did I mention that deadbeat came by to see me?" She mumbles putting on lipstick 

"No...what'd he say?" Robby simply says quietly as he kisses your head 

"Just some BS, about you and Y/n moving in with him, as if he suddenly gives a shit, I'm sure its just an excuse to get out of paying child support" She sighs still messing with makeup in the mirror 

"I mean how do you know that?" Robby asks, 

"Trust me I know your father" Shes mumbles and gets her purse, 

"Listen I know your super bummed out about tonight but, um, I'm trying to meet that special someone, you both are getting older and bigger, and sooner or later your both going to leave me with a life filled with excitement" Shes says giving fake puppy dog eyes 

"Im gon go and have so much fun mama!" You shout and hum, and shes smiles, 

She grabs Robby's chin, "You don't wanna leave your mama alone do you?" She says caressing his cheek 

He shakes his head, "No..." he mumbles, 

"Your an angel baby, you two sweetheart" She mutters, kissing Robby's forehead, then yours, you stim your hands and squeal

"I love you both, be good for Robby" She says before walking off, 

"Bye!" She slams the door, cutting Robby off, as he was trying to say "I love you to"

"ROBBY" You shout and whimper, 

"Shh, come on Y/n, I know" He sighs and picks you up, as you wrap your legs around him, burying your face in his shoulder

You sniffle and hiccup, flicking your nose and he sets you on the couch,

Your eyes follow him as he moves around the apartment, turning on Bluey for you, and grabbing your different sensory toys, so he could clean up

He smiles, seeing your eyes focused on the crinkly cube you were holding, 

You look up at him, and smile, laughing and making little noises 

He walks over and kisses your head, "That's right Y/n, were being happy right now" He says before starting to make some Mac and cheese, for dinner since you were running low on food~

You sniffle and hiccup, as you lay on the couch, Robby was sitting on his computer, his headphones playing heavy metal like Korn, but they tested on his shoulders so he could watch you, and he made sure it wasn't too loud 

It was nice and dark, as all the lights were off, except for the one in the kitchen

You were saying your head on his leg, as you munched on Mac and Cheese, watching The Outsiders playing on the TV, 

Your eyes fluttered, as you weakly took a bite of your Mac and cheese

Robby looks down at you, and smiles

"Are you done pumpkin?" He asks and you nod sleepily, flicking your nose a bunch 

Robby gets up and sets your bowl in the sink, as he hears your whimpers, 

He grabs your blanket, and weighted stuffed animal of a F/a

He sits back down on the couch, that was until Mom walked in the door, with a random man being quite loud 

Robby felt your tight grip on his leg, 

"Shh" Mom said "Be Quiet" She whisper yells 

"You be quiet" The man says loudly, 

You start to pant and you hit your head, Robby quickly grabs your hands, and pulls your head on his chest, one hand covering your ear, while the other listened to his heartbeat 

"Oh, I like how you talk boss man" She says putting her purse down

"You gotta be an alpha to work at TBS visa-pairs right?" He says as Mom pulls on his tie 

"Yeah you do~" She mutters pulling him into his room 

The man closes the door behind them and all's that's heard is squealing, 

Robby grabs your headphones off the coffee table, and slips them on your head

He slowly moves you, so your head rests on his leg, he watches your eyes flutter watching the movie, how you slowly flex your fingers back and fourth, your tongue occasionally sticking out 

He leans down and kisses your head, Covering you up and putting the weighted stuffie on your chest, you playing with its ears

Once Robby sees that your fast asleep, he pulls his headphones over his ears and goes back to his laptop~
