Charlie sat slumped into the train seat and closed his eyes. He'd been working as an accountant for three years now, it was something he was good at but some days all the numbers made his head fuzzy.
He was thankful for the train being air conditioned because despite it being nearly six o'clock in the evening, the air was thick with humidity which didn't bode well for the fact he had to wear a suit to work.
His phone buzzed in his pocket, he groaned and pulled it out of his pocket to see a message from his best friend, Tao.
Tao: come out tonight?
Charlie: I've just finished work, I'm exhausted
Tao: oh come on! Isaac wanted to celebrate his promotion and the three of us never go out anymore
Charlie: urgh fine! Let me go home and shower first, I can be at yours around 8?
Tao: yes! See you then!

Nick was sitting at his desk, marking the papers his students had written about what they wanted to be when they grew up. He couldn't help but grin when he saw one that just read 'I want to be like Mr Nelson', despite the fact that wasn't quite what he'd meant when he set the work but what did he really expect from a group of seven and eight year olds.
His phone buzzed on the desk beside him and he glanced over at it to see a message from his best friend, Otis.
Otis: me, Christian and Sai are going out tonight, fancy it?
Nick: sure, let me just finish marking these papers and I'll be over 😊
Otis: sweet! See you in a bit!

"Charlie!" Isaac squealed excitedly when Charlie walked into Tao's living room.
"Hey." Charlie said, hugging him.
"I thought we could go to Heaven." Tao said.
"That place is always so loud and we'd have to get the tube." Charlie complained.
"Charlie, are you twenty five or thirty five?! Stop being such a grandad!" Tao teased.
"Fine, but there had better be some hot guys there!" Charlie laughed.Tao rolled his eyes and laughed then the three of them had some pre drinks before heading to the tube station. It was nearly nine o'clock but it was still light outside and still way too humid for Charlie's liking. He was wearing a loose, short sleeved white shirt tucked into a pair of beige chinos and he was still far too hot.
By the time they got to the club it was getting on for ten o'clock and Charlie was starting to feel tired from the heat and his day at work so as soon as he was inside he headed straight to the bar to order anything that was a mixture of caffeine and alcohol to try and perk himself up a bit.
🍂🍂🍂
Nick was standing at the end of the bar with Otis, Christian and Sai when he noticed a very attractive man with dark curly hair stood at the other end of the bar ordering a drink. He still wasn't always very good at judging someone's sexuality but something about this man caught his eye.
"You good?" Sai shouted over the music.
"Look at him, what do you think?" Nick shouted back.
"Not my type." Sai teased.
"You know what I mean!" Nick laughed.
"I dunno, go over to him and see how he reacts."
"No, I can't." Nick laughed, suddenly feeling shy just looking at this man's beauty.🍂🍂🍂
Charlie ordered his drink and turned to talk to Isaac but as he did he caught a glance of a muscular man with floppy auburn hair looking straight at him. The man looked away when they made eye contact but Charlie couldn't stop staring at him.
"Oh my god, he's so hot." Charlie shouted to Isaac over the music. Isaac turned to see where Charlie was looking.
"The large ginger man?" Isaac laughed and Charlie playfully nudged his arm.
"He was just looking at me."
"Go over and talk to him!"
"No, I can't."
