AN: I decided not to wait. Here's part 2/3.
I stare at her with my mouth agape, all words leaving my brain. After a few moments, I pull it together enough to ask, “When do I leave?”
My mother reaches behind her and hands me a black backpack. “Now.”
Immediately, Niall makes his way towards me. “The bus is out front,” He instructs with his rich Irish accent. He takes the backpack from me and places his hand on the small of my back to guide me.
The other boys follow us, but I notice Harry staring at Niall's hand on my back with a jealous look in his eye.
I choose to ignore Harry and let Niall guide me to their bus.
Like any normal girl getting sold to a bunch of hot teenagers, I expected a yellow school bus to be parked in my driveway, but boy was I wrong. When I step out of my house, I am greeted with a two-story purple tour bus with all the members of one direction painted on the exterior. I let loose a shocked gasp and stare at Niall who is still right beside me.
Niall notices me looking at him and a smirk spreads across his face. He takes a few steps forward then raises his arms in the air. “Welcome to The Crib.”
I didn’t notice how long I stood there until Louis snapped me back into reality. “Car’s not gonna be here forever,” He informs before getting in the driver's seat. I follow the rest of the boys to doors on one side of the bus and Zayne opens them for us to get in. Is it safe for a teenager to be driving this big of a vehicle?
As if reading my thoughts, Liam reassures me. “Don’t worry Peony. Louis is a licensed driver and will be taking us everywhere we need to go.”
The interior of the bus is extravagant. Everything is gold or silver, with luxury furniture dotted throughout. I notice Harry sitting on a sofa in the corner.
“Why don’t you come sit by me, love?” Harry questions.
I make my way toward him and sit down right next to him. Niall walks into the bus and notices me sitting by Harry. He waltzes over to where we are sitting and sits on the other side of me, sandwiching me between him and Harry.
Zayne and Liam are the last to enter the vehicle. They make their way toward us and plop down on a couch across from where we sit.
“I assume you have a lot of questions.” Liam states while looking toward me.
“You’ve assumed right.” I’m suddenly self conscious. In all the chaos, I forgot I was wearing the most embarrassing outfit anyone could ever wear. I frantically smooth wrinkles out of my shirt as if it will do anything. I freeze at what happens next.
Harry leans over towards my ear and whispers, “Don’t be insecure, love?”
I let loose a breath I didn’t know I was holding and forced every bone in my body to stay firm and not look at him.
Liam continues to talk like nothing happened, and I try to match his demeanor. “As I thought. We’re truly sorry that you met us this way, but we needed to hire someone for back-up dancing, and your mother was truly in desperate need of money–”
“So you chose me?” I interrupted. “I know nothing about dancing!”“We know that. As a band, we decided we need someone to portray what the average teenage girl would dance like, and you are perfect for the role,” Zayne established.
I sigh. There’s not much I can do about my situation, seeing that I was sold to them. I just have to go along with everything they say and hope for the best.
“Okay,” I reason with hope. “When’s the first show?”
The boys all look at each other as the bus comes to a halt. “Right now,” They say in unison.
