"Remember that one time?" - JWCC (Yassamy one shot)

Sleepless

   —"You should go rest like your friends over there." — This was something Mae told Yasmina multiple times, she saw how restless the girl was, therefore worried.
   The girl decided to take Mae's advice, tho she ended up just sitting awkwardly awake between a bunch of sleeping children. Yaz decided to go grab some water, just so she could walk a bit. As soon as she is about to leave...
   —"Where are you..." — A yawn interrupted — "going, Yaz?.." — The sleepy voice of Sammy echoes through the cave.
   —"Shh!! We don't want to wake them...!" — Yaz exclaimed, in a whisper tone —"Just going to grab a glass of water... Or I can't sleep, it's up on your interpretation"
   —"Come on, just lay down. Can't you relax for a sec?" — the other girl asks as she sits down.
   —"Nah I am good... On my feet."
   —"Just come, yer ding-dong!!"
   Sammy proceeds to pull the runner by the hand and sit her down on the couch, hoping she could relax a little. The act just made Yaz more tense, she sat there awkwardly, staring at the wall.
   —"Come on, tell me what's up." — Sammy put a hand on Yaz's shoulder, worringly.
   —"It's nothing-.. I mean, everyone's acting like getting to this OTHER crazy island was progress, but why do I feel we are only regressing?.."
   —"Don't be pessimistic, Yaz. Look at how we were before and how we're now!!"
   —"Yea... On the very beginning, I had a probably sprained ankle and we almost got eaten every once in a few seconds, I used to think Bumpy would slow us down.. Heh, she turned out to help a lot. Now we don't even have her, but... Hm."
   —"And look at how close we are now!! Closer than ever!! We used to fight all the time before." — Kenji moves around in his sleep upon hearing Sammy's voice.
   —"Too loud, Sammy.. And yeah, I guess we progressed in some aspects... I haven't heard of any Kenjis talking about their richness in a while."— A small yawn could be heard out of Yasmina.
   —"And remember that time we almost got eaten by Toro? Twice?! And then-"
   —"Um, sorry. I would rather not."
   —"Okay, okay, got it. Remember that one time Kenji almost ate a frozen pizza that a compy had bitten?"
   —"Oh yeah, that was... Really gross. Ew."
   The rest of their nights were filled with "would you rather's", "Remember when's" and "what if's", until they both could finally sleep alongside with their friends.
