Two guys were standing together looking at a child's drawing of the Avengers.

" Things are never gonna be the same again. I mean, look at this. You got aliens. You got big green guys tearing down buildings. When I was a kid, I used to draw cowboys and Indians." Toomes says to the guys right next to him.

The mention of a big green guy makes Bruce blush in embarrassment at being mentioned right in the beginning. All the others flinch at the information of the alien invasion that happened in New York about eight years before. May though was confused on what this has to do with her niece and nephew. As the patient woman she was she sat and continued watching the screen.

" Actually, It's Native American, but whatever." Mason corrects Toomes

" Yeah. Tell you what though. It ain't bad. Is it?" Toomes asks while squinting at the paper while Mason nods at his statement.

" No, yeah kids got a future." Mason says while he continues nodding.

" Yeah, well...... We'll see, I guess" Toomes says, continuing to stare at the drawing.

Toomes then looks up at the damaged Avengers Tower. Helicopters pass overhead. Scaffolding covers the tower's lower floors. A roving view sends us into a ruined building across the street.

{ A clean up crew works around a giant deceased Chitauri alien creature with pointed teeth. Alien artifacts lie among the rubble. Walking through the site, Toomes gives a worker the thumbs up. He turns to Herman Shultz, who is one of his workers. }
" No, hey ! Uh-Uh! You can't saw through that stuff. These alien bastards are tough. You gotta use the stuff they use." Toomes says to Herman, the guy he stopped at.

He picks up an alien object from the ground and uses it as a tool to break down the Chitauri chariot.

" See?" Toomes says looking back at Herman

" All right" Herman says before doing what he was told to not break his human made tools

" All right" Toomes says to Herman before his attention shifts to another one of his workers

" Oh,hey! Glad to see you could join us. Afternoon." Toomes says to a guy named Brice.

" Yeah. My alarm didn't go off." Brice says to a not amused Toomes.

" Yeah,yeah,yeah, your alarm. Look, just go stack that armor plating like I asked you. This is a huge deal for us." Toomes says brushing off Brice and redirecting him to his job.

{ Anne Marie Hoag, the director of the Department of Damage Control, walks into the salvage sight with her crew }

" Attention, please! In accordance with Executive Order 396B, all post-battle cleanup operations are now under our jurisdiction. Thank you for your service. We'll be taking it from here." Anne says to the workers, making them confused.

" Who the hell are you?" Toomes asks, making his way to the new people in front of him.

" Qualified personnel" An agent says to him, making him a little annoyed.

" Look, I have a city contract to salvage all this, okay, with the city, so -" Toomes tries to communicate with the lady civilly until he is interrupted.

" I apologize, Mr.Toomes, but all salvage operations are now under our jurisdiction. Please turn over any and all exotic materials that you've collected, or you will be prosecuted" The woman says with absolutely no emotion behind her words.

{ The worker looked puzzled. A worker slips an alien artifact that looks like a power source into his pocket unnoticed. }

" Ma'am, what am I - Please. Come here. Hey lady, come on. Look....I bought trucks for this job. I brought in a whole new crew. These guys have a family. I have a family. I'm all in on this. I could lose my house." Toomes says with a pleading undertone in a voice.
