"I thought you said we were getting ice creammm". Bryce whined from inside of the Target basket while Aimee pushed it.

It was a Saturday evening and she was shopping for her new home that her parents had recently purchased for her as a graduation gift.

Her home was thirty minutes away from theirs which was convenient when it came to picking Bryce up.

Since it was officially summer she would be keeping him while her parents took jobs out of the state. For the next two months it will be just him and her, she had no problem with that.

"Bryce I promise we'll get ice cream after we get food, what do you want to eat?" Questioning him as she examining some decorative pillows, she glanced his way seeing him tap his chin.

"Pizza!". He beamed with a bright smile. "Bryce we had pizza yesterday, can we eat something else?".

Frowning he shook his head while folding his arms, "Pizza Mei, I like it ". Knowing she wasn't going to win this fight she reluctantly sighed giving in.

"Okay but we're going to eat inside the restaurant instead of home, okay?". Bryce nodded fiddling with the toy he managed to ask for.

Last thing Aimee wanted to do was sit at home and sulk over her and Jayce's breakup, it's been a month and it has been hard for her.

After trying to reach out the first week she gave up, it hurt her deeply that they were no longer together and he was ignoring her.

Aimee had to accept what it was, although she desperately hoped they could work it out it seemed as Jayce's mind was made up.

Finally paying for everything she hurried to her car seeing that it was beginning to rain.

Putting Bryce inside first, she quickly loaded her car before getting inside.

Keying in the nearest CiCi pizza, Aimee anxiously tapped her finger on the steering wheel thinking of nothing in particular.

This has been life for her since the breakup, from the random moments flooding her memory to the outbursts ,she was miserable.

It was not only the fact that she was currently going through a heartbreak but she had no one to vent to, lean on—she was literally alone.

Just her and Bryce, who would have thought life would turn out like this?

Finding herself sniffing she quickly wiped her face before Bryce could see.
