Imagine your coach not picking you to play in any games this season just after you have recovered from your injury? Let's not imagine that if it's actually happening, I had just finished my last examination at the doctors office and he said i could play this season,I was so thrilled and happy that i could,as the star player I am I put all my energy and effort into preparing myself for the next season,working my ass off,doing drills and activities to get myself back in the game and ready for the season.
But when the season started i didn't even play a single minute nor any game ,I felt like I was being mistreated so didn't say much other than storming into my coach's office and asking him why he didn't let me play and all he said was "your in the transfer portal" When he said that my heart sunk,but it still wasn't good enough of an excuse to not let me play and get my name back in the game.
And now me and my teammates are sitting here in-front of all these journalists and reporter's getting ready to answer some questions and tell them that my shitty coach put me in the transfer portal and also not letting me play this season.
As I look around a lady had raised her hand to ask me a question,with a beautiful bright smile on her face and the mic being handed to her, "This question is for Serina ,so this season you didn't play a single match would you like to tell us why?" I knew I shouldn't put my couch on a bad spot for not letting the Star player of UCLA PLAY THIS SEASON,so of course I had to make up something but also be a bit honest. I took a breath and confidently answered the question "well you see my amazing Coach thought that my recovery was a bit to quick so he let me sit out and rest for a while "i say obviously lying As the cameras flashed and the journalists were writing another journalist had raised their hand, "Serina is it true that your in the transfer portal?" She asked I knew someone was going to ask that so I had prepared my speech. As I nod my head "Yes I am in the transfer portal" The same lady asked again "do you know where your being transferred to?" Uconn "Yes I am ,I'm being transferred to Uconn "i say almost sounding like a damm robot on repeat. As more cameras flashed and a bit of gasps from reporters and some of the teammates who didn't know I was going to Uconn. "Is there anything you would like to say to your teammates and coaches?" I clear my throat and proudly nod my head "I would just like to say thank you to everyone who had supported me through my journey and to my coaches for giving me this opportunity to play for your team and to give myself a name ,and to my teammates who had helped me through my faults and difficulties ,and for staying by my side throughout the few years I had spent with you guys"i say as tears well up in my eyes, I am truly thankful for my teammates and leaving them might be like leaving a family. As i wipe my tears my teammates came and gave me hugs and some even cried for god knows why? As cameras clicks at us hugging each other.
This is it I'm officially going to leave my second family......
