Two simultaneous cries filled the air...
"Purvi!!!!!!" "Dushyant!!!"
Kavin engulfed Purvi in his arms as Ishita enclosed Dushyant in hers.
"Purvi!!! Purvi!!!!!...tum theek ho?", Kavin exclaimed.
Meanwhile, Dushyant comforted Ishita.
"I am perfectly fine Ishu! See?".
"Then who got shot? You pulled the trigger?"
Dushyant looked towards Kavin and Purvi. As Ishita glanced over, she could see Kavin hunched over Purvi.
"I didn't shoot!", Dushyant said, surprising her.
"Then who shot her?"
"Nobody!", Purvi said as she got up. "I just stumbled on a rock!"
Dushyant and Ishita became alert and fingered their guns as soon as they heard her voice. But she merely said, "I think the gunshot came from there...would you two like to join us as we go ahead and see what is going on?"
Dushyant and Ishita looked at each other, surprised. A few minutes ago, she was bent on taking a pot-shot at them. Now, she was asking for their help in the most friendliest of tones.
"What the hell is happening here?", Dushyant asked through his eyes raising his eyebrows at Ishita?
Ishita nodded her head slightly indicating that she was as surprised at him. Then she nodded her head in a slight yes....
"Okay. We will cover you at a distance", Ishita said, slightly melodramatically.
All four took out their guns and moved ahead slowly. As they rounded the next bend in the road, they all came to an abrupt stop.
"Oh no.......", Kavin whispered and rushed forward......

The rest of them walked towards him and tried to assist as well. A giant elephant was lying on the road with eyes watering and a bullet wound to its leg.
"Oh...poor guy! Who would do such a thing!", Ishita exclaimed angrily as she softly patted his body trying to comfort him.
"Poachers!", Kavin responded in a disgusted voice. "They were probably trying to kill this one for its tusks. But they missed and then hearing us walk around the bend, they fled!".
"Mere Kavin ko animals se bahut pyaar hai. Kisi bhi jaanwar ki aisi haalat dekh kar uska dil bahut dukhta hai!", Purvi explained while whipping out her phone. She called the Animal Welfare Services of the park who arrived immediately and took care of the elephant. Kavin was with them throughout.
As Dushyant and Ishita observed Kavin and Purvi, they looked at each other again. They were quiet for a while observing the proceedings.
Then Dushyant whispered, "I think, something has gotten messed up. Two people who deal with the authorities in such a casual way and also have such kind feelings for even animals cannot be at fault".
"I think I agree with you. There is something huge that we are missing here! We need to talk to them", Ishita said.
Once the formalities were finished, Purvi and Kavin walked towards them.
"We are going for dinner. Would you like to join us? I suspect we have a lot to talk about, don't we Purvi?", Kavin smiled as he extended the invitation.
Ishita and Dushyant agreed and they all walked together towards the exit.

Spring Fields Restaurant, 7:00 PM, Mumbai
As they settled own and ordered food to eat, Purvi passed something to Dushyant. He looked at it and then looked at both of them, still not sure how to react.
"Toh tum Malaysian Investigation Bureau se ho?", Purvi smiled at him.
As he nodded, she continued... "Welcome to India, Officer Dushyant! Let me introduce us. I am Senior Inspector Purvi Mehra from Indian Bureau of Intelligence and this is Inspector Kavin Khanna who works in my team!"
"Oh, so you both are officers too?", Ishita asked, looking extremely surprised.
"Both?", Kavin asked.
Ishita smiled and extended her hand. "Field officer Ishita Subramanium from Malaysian Intelligence and this is Senior Inspector Dushyant Nair who is my boss at work and my husband at home! We take it you both are a couple too?"
Purvi and Kavin looked at each other and smiled.
"We get married next week..", Kavin informed them.
"Oh wow! Congratulations guys! Wish you a very happy married life!", Dushyant said and extended his hand for a handshake which was friendly this time.
"Achcha Purvi, yeh bataao , agar tum dono IB se ho, toh tum mujhe follow kyun kar rahi thi?", Dushyant asked her.
"Dushyant, humein khabar mili thi ki tum India ke khilaaf kuch karna chaahte ho aur isi liye humein tum par nazar rakhne ko kaha gaya tha. Par humein toh yeh bhi kaha gaya tha ki tum ek anti-national ho, Malaysia mein bhi. Mujhe yeh bilkul nahin pata tha ki tum IB se ho! Isi baat se toh main haairan hun!".
"Phir suddenly tumne abhi humein invite kaise kiya?"
"Woh jab hamaare beech pehli scuffle hui, toh tumhaara woh symbol plus ID gir gaya tha aur meri nazar us par pad gayi. Tab mujhe pata chala ki yahaan bahut bada confusion ho gaya hai. Usually hamaari intelligence galat nahin hoti. Par is baar kuch chuk ho gayi thi! Isliye maine immediately step back kiya tha aur tumhe bataane hee waali thi ki Kavin aur Ishita enter ho gaye....", Purvi explained.
"If you donot mind my asking, tumhaari intelligence ka source kya tha?", Ishita interrupted.
"Usse pehle tum humein yeh bataao ki Dushyant kyun Purvi ke peeche tha?", Kavin counter-questioned.
"Humein yeh khabar mili thi ki India se kuch log aakar hamaare intelligence documents churaayenge aur phir hamaare hee khilaaf use karenge. Isliye humein responsibility dee gayi un documents ki safekeeping ki aur un logon ko pakadne ki. Humein laga, Purvi usi gang ka hissa hai!", Ishita answered.
"Oh my God! Yeh toh kitna bada confusion ho gaya tha...aur haan source main tumhe likh kar bataati hun!", Ishita took out a piece of paper and wrote the source down.
Purvi looked at it and her expression was inscrutable as she wrote a word on it and passed it back. As both Ishita and Dushyant looked at it eagerly, their faces registered a surprise.....
She had written one word- ~SAME~
