Calvin walked me out of the dance room and into the kitchen. He told me he would help me find my friends, but wanted to grab a quick drink first. He grabbed a can of beer while I chose to have a diet coke.

"So do you always go around looking for girls to save?" I asked jokingly as we sipped at our drinks.

He smiled. "Not always, but you looked like you might have needed a bit of saving."

"Well I'm glad you did because I was actually getting a little scared," I admitted.

"Anything for the most beautiful woman here," he said. I could feel my face turning red and looked down at my feet.

When I looked back up, I realized he was insanely good looking. Calvin had the most gorgeous eyes. They seemed soulful, yet also comforting and kind.

We were still looking at each other in silence when I heard someone call my name. I looked away and saw Ellie walking towards me. The rest of the girls were following close behind. When she reached us and saw Calvin, her face brightened.

"Well look who the cat dragged in," she teased and smiled at him.

"Hi Ellie," he said and grinned.

"It's great to see you," she replied. "How have you been?"

"Pretty good," he answered.

"So how do you guys know each other?" I asked them.

"Well you know the song I did the vocals for called 'I Need Your Love'?" I nodded. "Calvin was the one that produced the music."

"So that's where I know you from," I said to him. "I knew you looked familiar."

"You actually seem familiar to me to," he replied with a grin. "Aren't you like the biggest pop star in the world right now?" The three of us all laughed a little and a conversation started.

We began to talk about our music and our favorite singers and bands. We talked about other things like our friends and stories that we remembered. It had been twenty minutes of non-stop talking when Calvin excused himself to use the restroom. As soon as he left, Ellie turned her attention over to me.

"So what do you think of Calvin?" she asked me.

"I don't know," I answered. "He seems really sweet and funny. Plus, he saved me from that guy which was amazing. I guess you could say I like him."

"You should go for it," Ellie replied. "You guys would be great together. I've actually been meaning to introduce you guys for awhile now, but I've never had the chance."

"So you really think we would be good together?" I questioned as I glanced around to see if he was coming back.

"Definitely."

As soon as Calvin returned, Ellie told us that she was going to go find the other girls. This left me and Calvin alone again. Neither of us really knew what to say. We just stood there in silence for about a minute. It was getting awkward and I knew eventually one of us would have to say something.

I was about to begin talking when someone was accidentally pushed into me and ended up spilling beer all over my white top. It wasn't just a sip or two of beer, but a whole cup of it. The person that was knocked into me began to apologize over and over again. I told them it was fine and that accidents happen.

"Let's go get you cleaned up," Calvin said. "You can't walk around in a shirt covered in beer all night."

He lightly put his arm around me as he guided me to the bathroom. Once we were there, he took off his jacket and was about start unbuttoning his shirt when I stopped him.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"I'm going to give you my shirt so that you don't have to wear your beer-stained one all night," he said. "I still have an undershirt on underneath so it's not like I'll be walking around shirtless."

"Calvin, you really don't have to this," I told him as he continued to unbutton his shirt.

"I know I don't have to," he stated,"but I want to."

He handed me the shirt and put on his jacket over his undershirt. He stepped out of the bathroom so that I could change. I took off my shirt and replaced it with his. It was really big on me, but it was better than being covered in beer.

I stepped out of the bathroom and Calvin was there waiting for me. We walked back into the party areas to look for my friends. I had decided that it was best for me to go home. We finally found Selena after ten minutes and went over to her.

"Sel I think it's time for us to leave," I told her.

"Why? And what are you wearing?" she asked.

"I'll explain later," I said.

"Okay. You go tell the valet to get the car and I will meet you outside," she replied and walked away.

Calvin and I went outside and asked the valet to grab the car. As we waited, I felt the cold breeze against my skin and shivered. Immediately, Calvin took off his jacket and wrapped it around my shoulders.

"You really need to stop giving me your clothes," I teased. "Otherwise you are going to freeze."

"I just want to make sure you're okay," he said. I was about to say something when I saw the girls coming our way.

"When will I be able to give you your shirt back?" I asked him.

"How about over dinner?" he said.

"Well if you are going to take me to dinner, then you are going to need my number." He handed me his phone and I entered my number.

"I'll call you later," he said and started to walk back to the house.

"Wait!" I yelled and he turned around. I ran over and kissed him on the cheek. "Thank you for everything." He smiled at me one last time and then went inside.

The girls and I got in the car and instantly they started asking me questions. They wanted to know everything that had happened to me tonight. I told them all about the guy that put his hands on my butt and how Calvin saved me. Then I explained the story about getting beer on me and Calvin giving me his shirt.

"He sounds amazing," Martha said.

"He really is,"I replied. "We actually are going to go on a date sometime." They all started freaking out because this was going to be my first date in months.

Normally I would have joined their conversation and excitement, but I was too busy thinking about Calvin. I could not believe everything he did for me. He was such a gentleman as well as sweet and caring. But because he seemed perfect, something made me feel like he had to have something wrong with him. I felt like no one could be that great of a person without having flaws. Those flaws were what scared me because they could end up breaking my heart again and that was something I wasn't quite ready for.

Hey guys!
The reason I'm posting this so quickly is because I'm so excited to write this. I'm just looking forward to writing some parts I have planned out in my head. Chapters won't always come this quickly though. I have a really busy few weeks coming up so I might not post as frequently.

Love,
Emily
