Aiden's POV:

Mr. Thomas was just talking non-stop, driving me to insanity. I swear if this class doesn't end already, I'm going to light this place on fire.

"Alright everybody listen up!", Mr. Thomas shouts at us, but he can't get our attention.

I snicker at his defeat.

Ashlyn, who sits right next me, notices and gives me a small smile. My heart jumps at the small gesture.

I don't know what has gotten into me lately but I can't stand being near Ashlyn. Not in a bad way of course but every time she's near, I can't seem to think straight.

"If you guys don't listen, theirs an extra 750 word essay attached to the homework.", Mr. Thomas threatens us, immediately making us shut up.

Yeah that wasn't happening.

So I decided to shut myself up.

"Thank you."

Mr. Thomas continued, "You guys will be assigned in pairs for a history project over an European country of your choice. I will be assigning the groups, so ladies in the back, please stop staring at each other."

I perk up at this announcement, hopeful to be partnered up with Ash. I glanced over at her but noticed her already looking at me.

As soon as we made eye contact, she swiftly turned her head in the other direction, but not before I noticed a tint of redness on her cheeks.

Why did she look away?

Wait..

Was she blushing at me??

I think I'm finally starting to lose it, if I haven't already.

"Alright I'm announcing the partners now", Mr. Thomas mentioned.

"First, Aleah Anderson and Matthew White."

Phew, it wasn't me or Ash

"Next, Ben Clark and Taylor Hernandez."

I might be oblivious to some things, but I'm pretty sure those two have a thing for each other.

"Now there is Tyler Hernandez and Logan Fields."

Ok, everything's look good so far.

"Next up, Aiden Clark and Cali Wisener."

What.

This cannot be happening right now.

Who even is that girl?

Calm down, as long as it isn't HIM everything will be fine.

"And lastly, Ashlyn Banner and Mason Arlen", Mr. Thomas says, finishing up assigning partners.
