"Since both parties are present, I declare that the trial regarding the firing of André Moreau is now in session." The strong voice of the Chief Justice rang out through the Opera Epiclese. "Firstly, in order for the audience to understand the causes and results of the incident, can we please have Monsieur Moreau's representative explain the situation?"

You took a step forward at that. The fact that your client next to you was looking back and forth nervously under everyone's gaze while anxiously playing with his hands didn't affect you in the slightest. This wasn't your first rodeo. "Of course, Your Honor. To cut a long story short, we are gathered here today because the Fonta development team has fired one of its best employees for no reason at all." You said rather regretfully before pretending to suddenly remember a very important piece of information. "Well, that was a bit wrong of me to say, I apologize. Allow me to correct myself. The reason for my client's dismissal actually appeared out of thin air, just after a very successful presentation in which he introduced a new way to promote their product." You finished your sentence, but unfortunately didn't get to continue with your introduction as the other party barged in.

"Excuse me for interrupting here." The man said while his gaze was turned towards Neuvilette, as did his apology. "But I'd prefer it if we could keep things actually short. The evidence is clear, and so is the reason for Monsieur Moreau's very unfortunate but self-inflicted dismissal. We really don't need to waste anyone's time with this unnecessary trial." Laughed the lawyer who represented the company in this case.

The audience whispered quietly amongst themselves, but the many voices still contributed to a certain volume rising in the hall. So far, opinions were still very divided, but the lawyer from the Fonta side seemed somewhat wacky in the eyes of most.

Neuvilette called for silence, and the talking stopped again. "Monsieur Bori. I would advise you to refrain from any interruptions until it is your turn to speak." He made himself clear and let the man cower slightly under his iron gaze. "Now then, Mademoiselle Revière. You may continue."

You sighed. There's no point in starting all over again now. The moment is ruined anyway, and I can't keep up the excitement under these circumstances. "Thank you, Your Honor, but Monsieur Bori seems rather unhappy. He's welcome to continue if he thinks that he can help speed up the trial with his presentation." You answered up with a smile on your face after being forced to change your strategy. Nothing you weren't used to or couldn't adapt to. "As long as the judgment is fair, of course." You added slyly.

Monsieur Bori's left eye twitched slightly in anger at your condecending tone. That fucking bitch. He took a deep breath to collect himself again. "But, of course! We would have preferred not to announce this to the public, but the occasion forces us to do so. Monsieur Moreau was fired for laundering the company's money. The fact that this was discovered after his presentation is pure coincidence." He clarified with a grin on his face while the information caused shocked gasps in the room. "The questionable transfers and amounts of money stolen from our other employees are available to you, Your Honor."
