Arthur is my best friend he's six like me and he has 2 older brothers Lorenzo and Charles I think they two are so cool but Arthur is definitely the best leclerc brother and that is why I go to his house like every single day

Today me and Arthur are playing sword fighting it's a game we made up where I am stolen by some evil monster and Arthur has to kill all of them and come to my rescue

"Help tur tur help the evil monsters got me help" I yelp holding myself against the tree as if I've been tired there I watch as he runs and flips around the garden swinging the stick he found and made into a sword I hear as he yells and boasts every time he kills a new creature
I can't help myself but let my eyes wander over to the rest of our families sat talking on the outdoor furniture

I see Charlie sat with his uncle Jules and his little brother Charlie's best friend their talking about karting a sport that I know Charles is extremely into Charles' head turns in my direction and he lets out a little smile and just as I'm about to return it I hear Arthur shout breaking my concentration

"AH HA I've got you" he storms towards me and uses his sword to cut me free I drop my arms from the tree and fall into him
"Oh Arthur you saved me I was so scared" I smile hugging him tightly he pulls away and looks me in the eyes
"You don't need to be scared Y/n I'll always save you and you know why because one day when we grow up I'm going to marry you and then it will be my job to protect you" he grins wildly hugging me again even tighter
"Really?" I blush a giggle slipping past my lips
"Really." He states placing a kiss to my cheek
"Alright love birds dinners ready" pascale shouts making everyone laugh towards us

"Coming" we both shout in sync

"Omg Madison I'm so nervous how on earth am I going to do this what if I fall and someone gets it on video what if I mess up what I'm saying and accidentally say something stupid what if I go out here and he isn't even there what-"
"Babe your spiralling calm down you are not going to fall. You are not going to trip and Charles will be at the end of that isle I know your getting cold feet but I ensure you everything is going to be perfect and hey if we get out their and you still feel as though your making the wrong choice...my getaway car will be waiting for you" my maid of honour Madison jokes- at least I hope she's joking it's not that I've got cold feet or that I think this is a mistake but more that I'm scared I won't be everything Charles deserves he's been through so much that I know this needs to be perfect for him, I need to be perfect for him

My eyes snap to the door then to Madison and without a word she knows exactly what to do she crosses the room towards the door and opens it the tiniest inch so that the person on the other side is unable to get the slightest glimpse at my dress I mean it's probably just one of the bridesmaids that have forgotten something in the room
"Hey Madi was wondering if I could have a quick chat with y/n/n" shit it's Arthur I mean not shit I'm happy he's here he's my best friend but I always thought today might be awkward for him due to his best friend dating his brother to the point where I have been trying my best to avoid him all week
Madison looks over her shoulder to me to ask for permission and as soon as I give her my nod she lets him in and then leaves herself giving us all the space we need

Arthur looks at me his jaw on the floor I thought he would quickly snap out of it but when he hasn't I quickly clear my throat grabbing his attention
"Sorry you just you look beautiful y/n...I always knew you would but WOW" his eyes glisten as they look into mine and he takes a few steps closer directing me to the couch
"How you feeling?" He asks genuinely curious did he come here knowing I'd be nervous I mean it wouldn't surprise me this boy knows more about me that I know about myself
"I'm good...excited to get this started" I smile looking to the floor briefly before my chin in lightly pushed up my Arthur's finger
"Don't lie to me mon cher ami" he whispers holding onto my hand rubbing light circles to the back of my palm
"Y/n you are my best friend and although it's not me who will have the joy of marrying you today you are forever going to be in my life and I am eternally grateful for that. I have known since we were 13 years old that Charles has been the one you loved I know how special your bond is and I know that he is the only one in this world who deserves you and that is why I stepped aside for him. I have known you for a very long time and I know how long you have dreamed about this day so don't worry about anyone out there but you and him because this is your day no one else's I promise you he will be starstruck the second he sees you" his glistening face makes my eyes go teary as I lightly put my head on his shoulder
"Thank you Arthur, I love you mon meilleur ami" he wraps his arm around me giving me a hug before pulling away and then pulling me to my feet

He looks me in my eyes guides me through a few deep breaths before nodding and escorting me out of the room towards the like of coupled up bridesmaids and groomsmen, Arthur departs so he can walk with Madison as he's the best man and I join my dad this is it the start of my perfect life.
