On an average day in Ponyville, the blue sky is glistening whilst a cool breeze is flowing in. It's a tame summers day where the temperature is not scorching hot, but just right!
As usual, Twilight Sparkle was practicing some new magic spells. Excited to show her pony friends her new skills she decides to invite them in for a treat!
Twilights friends adore her! In fact they do not even question the horn pointed at them. They enjoy it when she experiments on them... some may argue it's unethical to use your friends as so called 'lab rats' but their love for the unicorn, and the fitting sparkle to her name when sharing her passion for magic is projected within her eyes...
Something wasn't right this time...
The gut instincts of the pegasus ponies chose flight, the blue and yellow wings shot right up able to dodge the purple beams of potential destruction.
Unfortunate, the other three ponies were left hit by the purple mist. Slow seconds pass by, the reaction slower than expected. As minutes pass by, they begin to shrink... and shrink... and shrink....
They shrink into themselves, with Twilight beginning to panic the fact that she could potentially lose three of her best friends, she shoots another beam at them.
Smoke is flowing through the air, dissipating into the atmosphere. The affected ponies were now present. The unharmed bunch sigh, relieved that their friends had not shrunk into themselves. Or so they thought.
Whilst it was lucky that their shrinkage had finally became static... they had turned into fillies...
FILLIES???
Silence fills the air, in fact its dread. Unaware of what to do the unaffected ponies decide to take on a strategy...
Their lack of experience in childcare would make them look like idiots, but what other choice do they have...

I wrote this story under the same title on fanfiction.net when I was 10 years old. I obviously didn't complete it. I actually completely forgot about it but anyways I came across this comment that weirdly made me laugh because I genuinely didn't realise someone actually read it! They were so mad I was surprised I actually got someone THAT mad. Honestly thought it was so poorly made that I decided to rewrite the first chapter, who knows if I'm going to carry this on but yeah if anyone is actually reading this I hope you enjoy!
