But to Tessa, it didn't feel stupid, Tessa got so angry that she stormed out of June's house. That was the last time she was seen alive.
Chapter 1
I feel like the world is moving in slow motion around me, everything feels so...empty. The police said it was a drunk driver and that there is nothing more that they can do.
"I'm so sorry for your loss"
Said the cop as he walked me and Tessa's mom out of the station. I was overcome by guilt. It was my fault she is dead, my fault. I tell myself every day, it should have been me who stormed off, it should have been me who was found at the side of the road, but it wasn't. It was my best friend.
Her funeral was a blur of tears and hugs, I am too busy hating myself to notice Tessa's boyfriend, Jake Flemming. Jake is the hottest boy at school, it's no wonder him and Tessa were the perfect couple.
