„Hurry up, we're gonna be late!" you hear your best friend scream from the other side of your door. Today was going to be her first day at Aoba Johsai, and as a second year at that. She had moved from Tokyo to miyagi, which you still couldn't understand why. „Because I not only get to be roommates with you, but it also helps me live closer to my family, duh" This was her response when you had asked her about it, and although it's not a good enough reason, you hold your tongue and accept it.
„I'm so excited! I've never been to a private school before, and I have you with me too." Usagi Tsukomo (Her Name) started rambling as you left the apartment building and started the 20 minute walk to school, „And I can't wait to meet the volleyball team, hopefully I manage to make the cut, I mean I am a girl so the other tryouts would probably be more preferr-." finally you spoke up and cut her off „Hey!" you nudge her „Calm down girl, you're a really good player, and if they don't see that then it's because they're either sexist or just retarded!" This seemed to lift her spirits a bit, because she nodded her head and smiled. „Yeah... I really hope you're right:)"
The rest of the walk consisted of trying to hype your girl up, it's not like you were any good at it, but it's the thought that counts... right?
As you entered the school building, you looked over and saw an expression of apprehension all over Usagi's face, which was expected.
Starting fresh at a new school wasn't easy, but Usagi will get over it soon enough, and while this start of year will be going excellent for her, I can't say the same about you.
