Kim's POV

It had been some time since the chaos had settled and life was finally returning back to normal after everything went down with Tony. The garage was quieter, I mean as quiet as it could be with North and Sonic around.

I feel like I'm finding my footing again, settling into my role as an X-Hunter racer. The thrill of the race had provided a distraction for me, it's something that had always comforted me.

It didn't take long for the team to accept me. I started getting used to being around so many people. I even started to feel comfort in North and Sonic's nagging. I might even call them my friends. I still couldn't fully trust any of them but I believe that I'm getting there.

Everything felt as normal until in the recent weeks I couldn't shake a feeling, a sensation that there were eyes on the back of my head, always watching, always waiting. Something wasn't right and I knew better than to ignore my instincts.

I brought this up to P'Alan before but he just brushed it off as me getting used to the team and the Garage. I tried to push it to the back of my mind but the feeling was always there.

Today, we had a big race, and I arrived early to double-check that everything was okay with the cars. As much as I trusted Jeff's skill, I could only truly rely on myself when it came to my safety.

I was tightening the bolts on the wheel when I suddenly felt it again-the eyes. This time was different. It was closer.

When I suddenly heard footsteps approaching, I quickly ducked next to the car, out of sight. As the figure walked by, I seized the moment, pinning them to the hood of the car and pressing the wrench to their neck.

To my shock, the person standing before me was one of the last people I ever expected to see again after Tony died-Tony's right-hand man, Kenta.
Kenta and I just stared at each other, both of us breathing heavily.

"Kenta," I managed to say through ragged breaths.

As if my voice snapped him back into reality, he shoved me off him. In a swift motion, he twisted me around, grabbing the wrench and pinning my arm behind my back, now holding the wrench to my neck. I was pressed tightly against him, so close I could feel his breath fanning down my neck.

I struggled against him, trying to break his hold. Growing restless, I spat, "What do you want?"

Just then, the rest of the X Hunter team entered the garage. Kenta released his grip on me and backed away. Seeing the expressions on the team members' faces, especially Babe's, Kenta finally spoke. "I come in peace."

Confusion crossed my face, and as I looked at the others, I could tell their expressions mirrored mine. Babe was the first to speak, his voice filled with curiosity. "What do you mean, Kenta? What exactly are you here for?"
